Cptbaker08
Well i read for a while that aviansies have a really low magic defense and can easliy be maged, and in doing so you can profit while maging them. I plan on getting a void mace and cast CoG on them while using charge, would that be effective or is there a better spell i should use? What would be a good outfit and inventory to take there? Tim
Range. You'll just get mowed down. They might have weak defence but offence (espec to you in robes) is going to cut your trip hella short. Thats my Advice anyway. Popoto.~<
JoeDaStudd
Nice guide. But its a very low profit margin. Sy_Accursed
magin avainasies = fail they have high attack stats sot to mage them you basically have 3 options: Wear range tank armour and have heavy negative attack bonus, which results in using stacks of runes to kill even one and thus marginal profits or loses are obtained Wear your robes and jsut go for it, whihc results in you getting hit hard and fast and using food mega fast. This means short sharp trips where u use masses of food for virtuall no drops and therefore loses Wear your robes and rnaged prayer, this results in lsoes cause pot cost + rune cost outweighs profits. Ddude42
http://www.truthscape.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2286 More recent than Qeltar's guide, but still somewhat out of date. Range is of course better than maging Aviansie, but mage is an option.
llamster
Claws of guthix will be a loss unless you have a wolpertinger or steel titan or something; a good combat familiar is key to cutting rune costs. I'd try either fire bolt or fire wave; both of them are profit with adequate stats (I'm assuming you fight them in the Eyrie). Wear range tank armour and have heavy negative attack bonus, which results in using stacks of runes to kill even one and thus marginal profits or loses are obtained Guthan's helm, Verac's brassy, granite shield, Ahrim's robeskirt, armadyl pendant, barrows gloves and the rest mage gear will get you approximately 200 range defence and 30 mage attack; both of which are more than sufficient. And praying range only costs like 40-60k an hour; quite a bit but nothing compared to rune costs. Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:
