February 21, 200917 yr So I've finally decided to raise my cooking level to 80. I have everything figured out but the time. I can either cook 8,432 lobsters for a loss of about 463,760 (selling cooked lobsters for -5 below med) or I can cook 10,118 tuna for a loss of 222,596. What I would like to know is about how many fish can I cook an hour (using Rogue Den bank and fire) and whether it would be better to cook tuna or lobsters. Also will cooked tuna buy on the GE? If the lobsters are quicker than tuna by an hour then I will use them as I can easily make up the extra loss. Any help would be great. : Pyramid Plunder Guide Tip.it Forum Rules Adventurer's LogThanks to Cowboy14 for the awesome sig!
February 21, 200917 yr I did an average of about 1k fish an hour. So time wise- do lobster. But tuna if you want more money, but I'd go with the lobsters...
February 21, 200917 yr Author ^ Okay thanks. Lobsters will save me two hours then. More than enough time to make back the losses :) Pyramid Plunder Guide Tip.it Forum Rules Adventurer's LogThanks to Cowboy14 for the awesome sig!
February 22, 200917 yr LOBSTERS ARE A FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! need i say anymore lets do a cost/xp comparison raw lobb-270gp mid cooked lobb-209mid 61gp/120xp so approx .5gp/xp 6.5m raw swordie-437mid cooked swordie-387mid 60gp/140xp so 0.4gp/xp 13m xp costs 5.2m you decide... o and for tuna its raw-100 cook-78 minmid (flooded market...) 22/100=.2gp/xp trout on the other hand is like a 1-3gp profit/70xp :P 1100 total achieved 03/02/09 880thousandth to reach it :P1200 total achieved 29/09/11 1.23millionth to reach it :P
February 22, 200917 yr The above calculations may be correct (Im semi-retired so no clue atm) but you must consider that lobs are more in demand. When I got 99 I found it easier to sell and buy them until I got to monks of course \ . Since your going for 80, I would recommend lobbs just cause they are faster or were to me, you can do swordies too but get some feedback from some people on how they sell and buy plus you burn these till 81 right without gloves?
February 22, 200917 yr I don't think tunas will sell immediately, but I think it should go overnight  95/99 Summoning95/99 Slayer [hide=This is what you look like when you play RS too long][/hide]

However I'd have to factor in burning costs, something I want to avoid. If I decide to continue cooking after 81 (when you stop burning) I will use them instead. So basically I'll do lobsters to 81 and then if swordfish are still a similar price I'll use them. :) Pyramid Plunder Guide Tip.it Forum Rules Adventurer's LogThanks to Cowboy14 for the awesome sig!
