regardless of it being fast or slow, is there any other way i can find cheap shards (i gotta buy a lot -.-) or has jagex eliminated all hope of this happening?

I only know to buy shards from Pickupstix for 25 gp each, the GE, or other players. It is usually pretty hard to buy from other players as why would they buy them and then sell, they would probably use them.

Certain pouches can be bought off ge and traded in for shards and will cost less. I forgot the formula for finding which ones you should buy though.

You need junk for that though. If you have no junk then buying specific pouches to swap with bogrog will be the best way for mass amounts of shards cheaper than store price.

Your summoning level is 69 so the best thing you can swap with Bogrog is a Steel Minotaur pouch. At the time of writing it was 2218 gp on the GE and if my calculations are correct you get 99 shards back. They equals about 22.40 gp per shard. Not anywhere near as good as junk trading but better than nothing at all. I need about 295,766 shards to get to level 85 which would cost me 7,394,150 in a shop and 6,625,159 by swapping Steel Minotaurs (a saving of 768,991).

pouch swapping is always the best. you can get around 20-23gp per shard easily, junk trading for shards is bad because your still paying full value technically(junk/cash to add up to 25 gp/shard). junk can be used for other things like lending out items.
