Sorry that I can't look into it myself but my internet is capped and loading a picture is similar to watching paint dry.

Are randoms still capable of killing someone? Just hoping I can finally say goodbye to my ring of life and use my berserker and archer rings everywhere while AFK'ing :D

Randoms that I'd consider lethal would be things such as strange plant, dwarf, the thief w/ crossbow, certers. I know I've forgotten some there.

All random events are now non-lethal. The worst they can do to you is teleport you someplace random (but not dangerous) with reduced stats and a disabled home teleport. Lethal ones such as the evil chicken have been discontinued, and guardians (rock golems, river trolls, and tree spirits) are now found only in the enchanted valley.

So you're safe.

Troacctid pretty much answered your question here, but I just wanted to add that even though the new randoms are much safer, you should still watch-out. You might not need that ring of life anymore, but be on your guard, because you can always be teleported away.
