LordGromit
So... I haven't played in almost two years but recently decided to start again and want to know the best way to raise summoning from 20 to 68. Specifically, what kinds of pouches should I make, what should I kill to get the charms, and which obelisk is best to use? I'm about 1800 total and 118 combat, *almost* have 85 slayer, have a fair amount of cash, and ample combat equipment and stats.
Mercifull
Gold - Save until 52, Spirit Terrorbirds Green - These are expensive to make so if you are on a budget then don't bother making any of these until you are a higher level. If you want to get to 68 then I presume its for Bunyips so you might wanna keep them all til then anyway. Crimson - These are what you will be training on. You will need approx 2,650 charms to get from level 20 to 68 making them in this order... Make 14 of Spirit scorpion (Bronze claws) Make 96 of Spirit Tz-Kih (Obby Charm) Make 12 of Vampire bat (Vampire dust) Make 206 of Honey badger (Honeycomb) Make 122 of Evil turnip (Carved turnip) Make 117 of Pyrelord (Tinderbox) Make 979 of Bloated leech (Raw beef) Make 247 of Smoke devil (Goat horn dust) Make 139 of Spirit cobra (Snakehide) Make 718 of Stranger plant (Bagged plant1) Some of these seconds might be hard or expensive to obtain such as evil turnips or vampire dust so you might want to pass on making those pouches. If you do it as above then you will use 308,291 shards (7,707,275 GP) however you can recoup a lot of that cost by swapping the pouches with Bogrog when you are a higher level. Blue - Save for as long as you can. I made a handful of Spirit Kyatts and Graahks and saved the rest until level 83 Lava Titans. Blue - Save for as long as you can. I made a handful of Spirit Kyatts and Graahks and saved the rest until level 83 Lava Titans. Save all the crimsons until honey badgers. Before honey badgers its just a waste of good exp. Golds until 28 then greens until 32 then a mixture of greens and crimsons. Its best to use the charms in this order; gold, greens, crimson, blues. This allows you to hit higher levels before using the better charms resulting in better exp in the long run. Mercifull
To be fair Joe all the charms are a waste of exp before level 50 or so. I got to level 52 using Tears of guthix and XP lamps etc. lol Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. Cptbaker08
Kent's guide in the AoW is what i used for when i trained summoning. Here's a link http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=113&t=744156 You would want to take a look at the Casual way to 99. Since you just want 68, just follow the steps until 68. Vezon Dash
Maybe you have already done this, but if you have done the troll stronghold quest you can go and get 20k free exp in any skill above 30. (thats like from level 30 to 38 I think)
