What's your TIFF story?

Hey fellas and ladies \'

Looking at my join date, some memories floated back to me as to what lead me to joining these forums + staying afterwards.

How did you find out about Tip.it? Why/when did you join the forums? Do you remember the day it happened, or even the moment of truth? What happened afterwards? What've you learned from TIFF?

[hide=Me]A friend of mine introduced me to Runescape in grade 6, and i've been playing for about a week before I typed in "Runescape help" into Google. I first got on RuneHQ but the horrible background quickly put me off. Next up was http://tip.it/runescape. I found the guides to be very throughout and pleasant website layout kept me coming back and back for help. About half a year later I was doing quite well in Runescape so I decided to use the forums to sell some of my raw lobsters.

It was a beautiful Tuesday afternoon, the sun was shining and I was ready to go out with my friends. As the summer holiday drew to the end, I knew I needed to sell off my goods, so for the first time ever I clicked on the Forums section on the website. I just used my Runescape name as account id and a few minutes later got the blessed e-mail awaiting confirmation to join the forums! If only I'd known then what kind of an impact that little e-mail would have on me!

Everytime I get on the computer, the first website I got to is forum.tip.it but I mostly just lurk and rarely ever post (compared to the ammount of time I spend on forums). About a year ago I quit Runescape and started coming to Offtopic section more and more, I just knew I'd never be able to leave these forums no matter what happened. TIFF has taught me to think before I say (or psot) something, how to spell properly + a ton of other things.

I used this site for a quest guide, and I used to use RSOF but it was a bit dull. TIF looked much more appealing and the discussions were deeper, so I joined. I only posted like 10 times in my first year - but right before the huge rollback I started posting frequently. I've been here ever since.

PS: Why are there two F's in the title?

I've been using the guides since back when I googled Runescape help all those years ago when I was a fresh newb.

It's only recently I joined the forums. It was after being bored one night and just deciding to click the link to the hot thread for General Discussion. It was about PK honour and stuff like that. And I seriously enjoyed the long thread of people [bleep]ing at each other, making digs at pures and having a real argument over... Runescape? I joined and started posting in General Discussion. I still stay there a lot but I've moved over to OT too.

I always check Tif, it's on my important bookmarks that are on the bookmarks toolbar on Firefox. General Discussion and Off Topic are always one click away. <3:

I think there was a thread like this a while back, but who am I to complain...

Anyway, found Tip.It about 3 - 4 years ago, however only started using the forums recently.

Originally went to Tip.It because I needed some good quest and skill guides.

My past is murky. I started playing runescape when it first came out, I was probably 10/11 or something. Joined TIF soon after because I needed help but then had a loooong break. Then had two accounts before this one blah blah blah, here I am now.

I stay with TIF because of the gallery and the favourite anime/manga thread (However despondent people's tastes are >_> Looking at you dpattle!) and video games and consoles. And forum games, can't forget the little clique in there.

One thing I don't like about TIFF (double FF for extra love) are your annoying spam posts, Hellbellz. This thread is not just about how you found tip.it, it's about sharing the experience and what keeps you coming back.

Also following your :wall: logic, noone cares about anyone else because we all came from a vagina right?

You're a big troll.

Also I find it that most people join the forums a while after browsing the website, perphaps tip.it should push people more to join? Maybe a few extra mentions or something

And I love the deep discussions you can have on these forums 8-)
