March 18, 200917 yr I think Runescape should introduce a new minigame called The Death Pits. The concept is kind of like Duel Arena. Essentially you basically sign up for a death match with a random person, and you get their items if you kill them. I'm also quite sure this is RWT-proof. It is kind of like a combination between staking and pking, and should support a variety of different and creative strategies, and should be a lot more fair than other minigames, and plenty more risky. Yeah I know, the name isn't very creative, but I couldn't think of anything else. If you hav a suggestion for a name feel free to post it I probably won't be adding images because I have no clue how to do that stuff, but if you have anything to add, suggestions, comments or constructive criticism, please post. Concept of The Death Pits and How To Play It is a very simple game. First you register to fight, with an NPC who runs the game. Then you are teleported to a waiting room, while the game pairs you up with someone to fight. You can only be paired up with someone within 5 levels of you. Once the game has randomly selected an opponent for you, both of you are teleported to a room similar in design to the Duel Arena, only there is no way to exit. Then of course you fight to the death. The main conditions of the fight are listed below The riskiest part is you will never know who you're fighting. You could be fighting a one itemer, or someone with 3 styles of combat, expensive armor and a full inventory of food. Will you play it safe, bring in cheap items and hope for that lucky spec, or will you go all out and bring in your best gear to outlast the other person and have the best chance of winning? Conditions You will only be able to take in combat-related items(including food and pots), similar to how BH is. It will only be in ONE world. There could also possibly be an F2P world, making it two total. This is mainly for RWT prevention purposes(so the RWTers will never get paired with each other), but this means you will never have trouble finding a match. This could be worked with depending on how popular the game is. There is NO protect item. All other prayers are allowed. This is mainly to prevent RWTers from bringing 1 item and protecting it if they're not paired with their partner, but also eliminates 1 itemers. If you die, you lose ALL your items, and the opponent gets them. There is no way to retrieve untradable items. You cannot teleport, leave or forfeit once you enter the fighting room. If you log out, your character will stay logged in(as if you were in combat), even if your not in combat. Once again, mainly to prevent RWT, but it will also prevent x-loggers Summoning is allowed. I think it summoning would definitely be useful in this minigame and people could develop some very creative strategies with it. You must be 40 combat to play. This is mainly for RWT prevention purposes, but could be worked with depending on what happens. Besides that, anything goes. Location Description It doesn't really matter where this is located, but I think it might be an ounce more RWT proof and would add a cool feel to it if it was located in deep wilderness. It would be in a cave, similar to the layout of the Fist of Guthix starting cave. The fight area will just be in a room about as large as the Duel Arena. There would be many different types of arenas, it is completely random which one you will get(that adds on to the risk of the game). The style of the arenas would vary from open, to rangeable obstacles and unrangeable obstacles. Rewards Of course, the main reward is the opponents items. However, I think it'd be cool to have a small rewards system. It'd be different from most games though, you wouldn't get a certain amount of points from each win and then cash them in, it would be based on total number of kills. The rewards would not be consumable or tradeable, because such things are worthless a month after the game is released(i.e., Fist of Guthix). These rewards would be more like bonuses, something you only get once, or can only have 1 of. I think the rewards here would be more long term. I don't really have anything in mind, but if you can think of anything feel free to post. I also think there could be a high scores table, showing how much kills and deaths you have. RWT Preventions There would be no protect item, so RWTers will not want to risk the goods incase they aren't paired up with their partner. Saying that, there is literally almost no chance they would be paired up with their partner on the first try, because it will only be in one world. And that is assuming they are 5 levels within all of their buyers, which of course wouldn't happen. There is really no way to productively RWT in this.

Say they have 50 accounts. Each of them will be stocked with the best gear, so they'll flood the game at a certain point. They'll all be around the level of the customer, and no big deal if two of the RWTers are pair together. If a RWTer and a non get paired together, figure the RWTer will win because they have the better gear (they'll go up against a one itemer, most likely). I don't think it'll work. -sees 99 dungeoneering achieved, thanks to everyone that celebrated with me! ♪♪ Don't interrupt me as I struggle to complete this thoughtHave some respect for someone more forgetful than yourself ♪♪♪♪ And I'm not doneAnd I won't be till my head falls off ♪♪
March 19, 200917 yr Who the hell has 50 accounts? I like this idea and was thinking about it before I fell asleep but you beat me to it.
March 19, 200917 yr How smart. Thinking of it before you went to sleep. Same idea as almost any body who just wants to steal credit from the creamer. The RWTer just has to bot train to about the same level as the person and log on at like midnight or something. Even though there's only one world, who plays at midnight+ unless they are from another timezone. They'll do ANYTHING to get past the trade limit.
