Ts_Stormrage
To craft them, they require you to bring a talisman as well as the opposite tune already and some Pure essence.. So if you're looking to make Smoke (air and fire combination) runes, here is what you would need: A way of getting into the Fire Altar An Air Talisman (or the lvl 82 Lunar Spell) (will be consumed) And an equal ammount of Air and Pure Essence (will be consumed) The whole reason nobody is doing this is because there is a 50% chance per rune to fail of being created, resulting in a lot of stuff being lost... But if the Essence required wasn't Pure, but simply Rune essence (a LOT cheaper), I think a lot of people would start to craft these combo runes... Will H
You forgot about the binding necklace, it increases the chance of success from 50% to 100%, for 15 loads of runes. But, you make a good point. In my opinion, since all of the elemental runes can be crafted in f2p, it would be really simple just to make the whole thing f2p. It's not like members is losing anything, they didn't use it anyway. ~ W ~
sadukar123
The RC community in F2P is really small, not many F2Pers concentrate on a slow skill when everything is already 50% slower or more than P2P, I think what might help is making the percentage of success 100%, and the necklace of binding would give you a 25% chance of giving 2x Combo runes. Oh, and I want the Smoke/Dust/Mist staves. Zaaps1
Binding Necklace makes it 100% Smoke runes are 45k (around there) xp per hour in RUNECRAFTING. The RC requirement is what? Like level 40ish? You don't get 45k per hour at ZMI until around level 85. Sure it costs a lot, (was it 300k per hour?) but it's worth it, esp. if going for 91. My personal opinion, the making of combo runes is fine. Only high levels can make them effectively, so it's a reward for those with high magic. However, the uses of the combo runes should be tweaked to make it more profitable. I'm lost for ideas, but that's what I think. ~It's Super Effective! Will H
Just pointing this out, the combo rune levels are just begging for multiple crafting per essence according to your level like the rest of the runes. It just seems unreasonable that crafting at level 23 gives you just as many smoke runes as level 99. I'm also waiting for a way to craft some combination staves (requiring the use of the respective combination runes, of course), but the ones associated with air (smoke/dust/mist) should be in the regions of crafting 90-99, with no other way of obtaining them. That keeps them nice and expensive, as well as a fitting reward of huge profits for very high level crafters. ~ W ~
