legola5
Since theres a fair few english guys on here and some of them like football some must have played this. It's the new definitive manager game after the Championship manager series went sour. It's also about the only game I've ever played exclusively for months. So if you have played it discuss tactics/training and whatnot.
Phil
Since theres a fair few english guys on here You know it's not just sold in England..? Anyway, yeah I play it too much. Been hooked since Champ man 3 which I got back in 2000 I think. It's the one game I can play for hours on end for years... Btw it's made by the same people that made champ man, but they just weren't allowed to use the name. Something like that anyway. legola5
I've been playing since Champ man 2! 2!!!!! I think it was made by domark and was my first pc game. I said any english people coz i know its sold in america as worldwide soccer manager or something but americans cant seem to grasp the concept of football and thus i assume no one bought it. I think sports interactive went off and made this coz ea or someone bought championship manager (the latest of which is suppoed to be the most bugged game ever)
-Til_Galind-
Us Americans grasp the concept pretty well I think. U.S. soccer teams and the original American pigskin football. It's been around for years....So yeah, we understand it. :P

I'm in 2023 now, Wycombe and England :D (I like to take clubs who just came to conference and make them win the champions league, then start all over again. Just checked my record: Played 1985 Won 1899 Pretty good eh? :D This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.

Futurama
Hated those games and always have. Probably wouldn't hold so much against them if my brother didnt used to take up half of the hard drive with championship manager and spend hours on it. Phil
I might have had cm2. Which one was it you had to start through dos? Will dig it out tomorrow to see which one it is. :P I have to agree CM was good back then :P But I always play the new games when the come out just to keep updated. Best game I've had going was Lazio till about 2008 or something. Didn't stop till I had won the league (Roma were just unbeatable for like 2 seasons!) I wish I could still play that one :x

Chris
Started playing CM03/04, I might actually just stop and go out and get FM2005. Plan is to get a D3 team up to the Premier League and maybe into Europe. It's funny, I don't have any clue when I'm picking tactics... Sometimes I lose and sometimes I win by like 5 goals. It's fun. ^_^ Would it run on my laptop though... ? CM03/04 does, and I don't have a PC atm. Notoriously Trollish.

Something like that anyway. How I wish I knew that before I got Champ man 5 :( . Its just such a poor game. Bubsa
Yeah SIgames made the series we all know and love, but can't use Champ man anymore because that belongs to Eidos, who ended affiliation with them (because eidos sucks). Now it's football manager you want. Don't be hoaxed by Eidos keeping the brand name, the new releases from them are awful. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you. Phil
Yeah, it's pretty sad that the only way they could sell their game was by using the CM name. I bet that most people buying the new CM were thinking it was the same as the old one (like oma) :? Remember all Football Manager 2006 is out in Nov for the PC :) Can't wait for the updated teams already
