to sell or not to sell?

ok here's the scenario... i'm planning on going for 99 mage, and for this i need 41.5mill, in my bank i have 10mill and i have a gs (worth 18 more mill) if i sell my gs, ile only need 13.5 mill for my 99, but if i dont i need to make 31.5 mill.

 

 

 

after i get the 99 ile be dead broke, is it worth selling my bgs (god sword) for 99 mage?

With your levels a GS is still a big waste of money as you cannot experience its full potential till atleast 90atk and str so i would say sell it. May i ask which method youe going to use as i am sure there are cheaper and better options.

Yes as hitting 44-22-23-11 with D-claws is much worse.

 

 

 

If you want to train magic burst rock lobsters. Ask Bedman and he will tell you to do the same.

Getting Mage exp with a cheaper option is not a waste, its economical. why drive a ferarri if you can only afford a ford?

Godswords are extremely useful. Claws are no where near as accurate on bosses from my personal experience, and i don't care to bother with PVP much.

 

 

 

Keep the sword and use it at either dks or bandos to get 20m or so so that you can get your level with money left over.

Very True. A whip is much more effective at any boss (except Kree ofc.)

Lets check your options:

 

 

 

1. Stun, no reward or hp/xp

 

 

 

2. Get ancients and burst lobsters, loads of hp/xp and charms.

 

 

 

3. Bolts

 

 

 

Ask anyone with 68 summoning how helpful a bunyip is and ask them how hard it was to go from 57. Ask on these forums. Ask weather to burst or stun. Burst will be heavily favored.

Try convincing that to a rsof team. I personally don't believe it at all, but I still need t test that. Don't bother with the "just go with friends" argument, because the VAST majority of people in this game don't have a group of friends that are ready to drop what they are doing and go monster hunting wheneve rit is convenient for them, and if you are looking to make upwards of 20m at bandos or dks you're going to be there for a while.

 

 

 

A whip is fine at DKs of course.

Unless you go to Bandos GWD often, I would suggest selling the Bgs. You can always borrow one for about 15-20k for hour if you don't go that often.

 

 

 

Personally I would sell it and string amulets for 99 magic. I feel it is about the same as high alchemy; the cost is higher but so is the speed. The lack of clicking (no carpal tunnel) is also very inviting. The cost for this method is 40,681,170 to 42,143,565gp buying Unstrung Gold Amulets (med to max price) and Astrals (153gp), then selling your Gold Amulets to the Rogue for minimum price (or getting a friend to sell to the Rogue). You would have to unlock Lunar Magics for this method, and can not start until 80 magic.

 

 

 

Another option as mentioned is bursting to train summoning as well as magic. I don't know the costs for this method, but training two challenging stats at once is always beneficial. That is provided you can put these stats to use and afford to train them.

 

 

 

Best of luck with whichever method you choose. I suggest not going for 75-99 all at once. Take breaks at certain levels to break up the monotony. ::'

from personal experience, and without any data to back this up :P i trained from ~75 to 99 at mage training arena doing dragonstone enchants and switching to onyx at 87. this took about 100k cosmics if i remember correctly (there is i chance i don't)which is roughly 15.5 mill (though i crafted all so only cost about 5 lol) this was before bolts were introduced so may be dated information :P

Theres no point in getting 99 magic if its going to kill your bank. At the end of it all you can do is barrage basically and spend even more money. Also what the hell are you doing that going to cost 40m for magic training.

 

 

 

Your efforts are better put into another money making skill, until you can gain money whenever you want.

stringing and stunning is around the same exp from what i'm hearing... but stringing ammy's is more afk like so i can look at forums.... where is this rouge guy and can i sell noted to him?

 

 

 

The rogue is just south of the archery shop in varrock afetr you save him from his cell(look at the Summer's End guide), and yes he accepts noted amulets.
