The_dmt1234
what would be a good way to train this that is fast and donest lose much money ]
A_Gardener
I'm currently battlestaving for 80. I buy my daily battlestaves from Zaff, then make/buy orbs (depends if I want the magic exp or not), make the battlestaff, then alch it. With making orbs, I make a small profit (200gp per), with buying orbs a small loss (under 100gp, I think). Gardening for Victory!
The_dmt1234
but can i constantly train that way effectively? coz i can only buy 8 per day and thats not a lot of exp ]
RayOxide
Hey man I got 77-84 not so long ago, so I reckon I can help you. If you have a low budget for this, stick to making stuff like jewellery, Ruby might be good. I cant remember exactly. If you have a medium budget for this, try doing a combo of jewellery and green dragonhide bodies. If you just want to blow it, green dhide bodies are great. Remember, green dhide bodies are the best thing until black dhide legs, which might be beaten by black dhide bodies. (Cost/xp ratio) Also, get all bstaves you can from the GE, 100 every 4 hours. Get friends to buy you some too if they can. I dont need a siggy no moar.
The_dmt1234
40m budget uh whats the loss with green d hides? i might alch em ]
RayOxide
Not sure on the loss. It's pretty big.. And alching them is kinda a waste of time imo. You'd lose a further 100~ every alch. Alching's only really 70k-75k xp (tops) an hour. Anyway, seriously, crafting hides may be fast, but it's a lot of money lost. No way in hell can you definately make the money back in an hour you lost in an hour. :? I dont need a siggy no moar.
The_dmt1234
ok that makes sense, is it more effeicient to buy untanned or tanned and how much exp an hour is green bodies and how many hours to get to 80? ]
RayOxide
O.O.. I cant really do this maths lol, but you should factor in the battlestaves you get every 4 hours. I do know that its not particularly 'efficient' to tan the hides yourself. Only if you dont have ways to make over 300k in an hour is when you should tan them yourself. I dont need a siggy no moar. The_dmt1234
hmm, could you compare the making of hides speed to that of smithing palte bodies? i can easily go through 1800 bars and is it worth using sc needles? and what exp do needles give each? ]
RayOxide
Speed: I have no clue. Needles give 2x the exp. If you avidly smith I'd keep them for smithing. 3.3x xp per bar owns simple 2x from crafting. I dont need a siggy no moar.
The_dmt1234
its 2x for anything, the needle gives 32k exp or 64k exp doubles ]
RayOxide
3.3x for mith bolts last time i checked. 30 -> 100 I dont need a siggy no moar.
The_dmt1234
nope, it's 2x no matter what ]
transcript80
Get yourself some varrock armour 3. This allows you to buy 64 battle staffs a day from Zaff. I do this every day, and I find it hard to keep up with "battle staving" so I end up selling some of them. I hate alching them, but I want the mage exp and liquidating the work I did myself, so I don't plonk them in the GE. This is maybe a better choice then alching, though. I'm staving my way to 80 too, almost there. Other data was removed when acoount got hacked...
The_dmt1234
is that just a cheap way or is actually running them worth the extra exp and what exp do they give per run? ]

stormveritas
Whether you're leveling crafting or smithing, be sure to use Proto Tools from Stealing Creation. If you use clay needle to make green dragonhide bodies, for example, you will literally cut the expense in half. It will also save you time; a true win-win.
