I'm lvl 79 fishing now, what is the best way to gain xp? By fishing sharks or lobsters? And at what lvl is fishing sharks worth it for xp

sharks are appaulingly slow

 

 

 

xp wise you pwoer train using the flying sturgeon and stuff at barbarian training or fly fishing at shilo

 

 

 

But a nice well rounded method is monkfish they are similar speed v(marginally faster) than lobsters and worth more while having more xp per fish than s ahrk

Monkfish or Fly Fishing, depending on how much money you make. Monkfish if not a lot, Fly Fishing if a lot.

 

 

 

Also, if Barbarian Fishing isn't dead yet (b/c of the cut-x update, they might've changed it) that's the best option.

Barbarian fishing is your best bet......oooo that reminds me i have 1300 trout left to fish for 62 fishing and swan song!

 

 

 

Anyhoo barb fishing if you want quick and easy exp.... also if you want to bank it you only have a lil run...... other than that it's monks for money.

Barbarian is the fastest xp. Either drop the fish, or cut them, drop your feathers so it uses the fish parts as bait, pick feather back up, cut again, repeat... Feathers are just in case you run out of fish parts for bait, which you will sometimes.

Another alternative

 

that it is possible to feed your Bunyip some Lava Eels? Fishing these is very fast xp (slightly better than Shilo river Lure fishing), and feeding them to your Bunyip gives you up to 11 Water Runes, the most sought after elemental rune. And with the ability to recharge your Summoning points nearby, you can stay in Taverly Dungeon for a long time. (Thanks to The Tal Shiar Alliance!)

How do you feed fish to your yip?

Use Lava Eel -> Bunyip

Just click on the raw fish, then click on your bunyip.

But then again Shilo Fly Fishing isn't very high anyway. For most people, the money of Monkfish would be better than the slight gain of Lava eels.
