I want a card that can play all games Very high + 2x AA + 2x AF on 1680x1050. 4830 - $250 4850 - $300 4870 - $375 4870 1GB - $420 4890 1GB - $550 GTX260+ Black - $550 GTX275 - $550 GTX280 - $650 What would you get? Thinking of 4870 1GB vs GTX280 ATM. Maybe GTX285 since $50 more. Rest will be Q6600. Thanks Current goal: Legends, Regicide, Roving Elf's, Barrows RFD, 95+ Attack.
April 14, 200917 yr 4870 1gb. Easy as hell to overclock aswell. You need to know DX11 comes in the end of the year (probably), DX10 cards will be able to play in DX11 mode - but with some features turned off. Just so you know. Weird price on 260 and 275. April 17, 200917 yr Any DX10 card isn't fully DX11 compatible, but as i said above... No, but you do still earn a few more fps with 4870 1gb compared to 512. Up to you if it's worth it or not. April 17, 200917 yr Go with Nvidia, they make very good drivers. Ati have stronger cards, yeah, but the drivers suck so much that you lose a lot of performance. Also the reason why I'm never going Ati again.

April 17, 200917 yr Today. I have an Ati card in one computer and a Nvidia card in the other. I do like AMD processors though. Such as the Athlon dual cores and the Phenom 2s.

ATi cards have RAW power, but Nvidia has Extremely good drivers. But all in all, about the same. + Nvidia is a [cabbage] load more expensive. So ATM GTX260 Black vs 4870HD 1GB vs 4850HD 512MB (Just a temp card) Current goal: Legends, Regicide, Roving Elf's, Barrows RFD, 95+ Attack.
