Zaaps1
Alright, I think I might've gotten a too angry as well. But still, I think you will have wrong information. His RC is in the 50s. No giant pouch. You looked at the quote but ignored the video and what I wrote beneath it. 2 minutes too much of your precious time? Speed at ZMI is all in the banking step, at that quote alone is just 1 source, and a second-hand one at that since the writer took someone else's info and assumed it to be true. Fact is, you can get in the 40s, and you CAN get 45k xp/hour in the 80s. Where have you proven me wrong? Oh, are we not thinking about money? Let's all tell him to buy 5k blood talismans and get him going in that direction then. When someone says "money doesn't matter", it really means "I'm willing to spend money, but not an illogical amount". You contradicted yourself again with your second c shield statement. If, with "high enough defense, you really never need to eat", then why, may I ask, did you suggest Dwarven helm and the Varrock Armor AT ALL? And no, c shield is not a waste of money. It rarely degrades at ZMI and you can use the c shield trick to keep it at 10/10. It's really the best thing for its weight, much better than that set you suggested. I'm still trying to decipher what you are saying. It seems to me that you are saying, "With high defense, you don't need all these extra items, but you should take a bearhelm and varrock armor because they provide extra defense". Ok, well if you don't need the extra defense, then take my setup since it's lighter. The c shield will degrade so little that it's hardly any thing. It degraded once my entire time at ZMI. Ok, then what if you need the extra defense? My setup is still better because it gives better defense then yours does and it's lighter. I admitted my Ghraak number was wrong. I was thinking of the abyss method. Also, my ZMI number is not wrong. It is an understatement of what is possible there, if anything. ~It's Super Effective! la la la
I guess I am willing to use whatever is the best defensively without using degrading armor. I hate crystal shields because I really don't need them in order to protect myself, and the money in upkeep is small but frustrating. It's all personal opinion really. Zaaps1
Well I usually "solo", so to speak, ZMI. It's a lot faster because there are no annoying Lurkers from other people to confuse with. So I'm using under heavy attack since I'm the only one there, but with my setup and praying the right things at the right moments, I get along eating 1 pineapple pizza every few hours. I guess if you go onto an official world or one with a few others in it like w150, you don't need extra defense. It's still lighter though, so I would still use it. Regardless though, c shield is the most defense for its weight that you can put onto the shield slot. The question is only if you need it or not, and that's all trial and error depending on your stats, timezone, habits, and method. Also remember in the quote, and maybe the vid (I forget) the deposit-all feature did not exist yet. With that, 45k xp hour should be almost effortless to get. ~It's Super Effective! la la la
Alright... I just did ZMI for 20 minutes and couldn't stand it. I have no room to talk about ZMI any more #-o
koenmeloen
what's the crystal shield trick?
Zaaps1
what's the crystal shield trick? It lets you keep your c shield at 10/10 and therefore it will always be at the max possible stats. You need two c shields, and it works with c bow too, better even. The idea is to record the amount of xp you need to get in any given skill before your shield degrades once. Then that shield would be 9/10. This is your "dummy" shield. You then switch to your other 10/10 shield and you train until you're off the xp needed to degrade by 2k-4k. Then you switch to your dummy shield. This way, only your dummy shield will degrade and not your 10/10 shield, which will stay at 10/10. So for ZMI, you'd see how much RC xp it would take until you get a 9/10. Say it's 600k xp. Then you would train until you gain 595k xp, and then switch to your dummy shield. ~It's Super Effective! Leoo
How many trips can I do before I have to repair my pouches? I noticed you went to the Abyss to repair them at the end of the video. Once you have reached level 75, all you have to worry about is your gaint pouch degrading. As mentioned, it's 11 trips. However, if you are not using the small pouch for making Nature runes (Graahks) and fill you gaint pouch last, you can do 2 or 3 extra trips without having to repair because you still get the same number of runes (you aren't filling your giant pouch completely). I am sure this applies to all levels over 75 (correct me if I'm wrong). Also a good tip, using mousekeys can secure you 30k exp an hour using Graahks and just under 3,200 nature runes per hour (below 91 Runecrafting). This will require energy potions of course.
