using operator

Featured Replies

ok so im using operator at school to bypass the proxy. would this get detected as 3rd party software and get me banned?

I personally don't think Jagex is THAT good at detecting 3rd party software. I think they can only ban you if you admit it in-game, according to their rules.

well im kinda still iffy about it i would love some more replies. dont wanna get banned u know

Aren't you supposed to do other things in school? ;)

I'm not sure if it breaks the rules or not, but to be on the safe side I'd stop using it and/or send a query to Jagex to check it out.

If you have a goal, go for it :D Work hard, be proud and be yourself ;)

I woulden't try this, if it was a bad idea then you would get banned for the idea probably. :shame:

find that hard to believe

If you're so worried about it just wait until you get home to play, i mean rs can't be that important to get banned cuz you get bored in school.

If you "find that hard to believe", then you are either just making this discussion for the sake of having a discussion, or you already know what you think. Either way, it doesn't seem you want to be persuaded otherwise, so you probably won't be.

I think he just wants to be 100% sure.

If you aren't just use a pure you don't care about and see what happens. However, the best idea is still to consult Jagex. Personally, I believe it's safe.

You're probably safe since all it does it connect from another IP. You'd probably lag like hell, so I don't think it'll do you any good.

Forums? That's my best guess. Go to the Tech Support one? Unless you can find another.

Someone told me they put their email up too, but idk.

ok thanks. and when this is all u have to do for 6 hrs of school u get realy realy bored.

Your moving your IP address to a distant location instantly, frequently based in another content. I would say there's a considerable risk of getting banned if they are indeed banning on IP like they say.

Unless you enjoy getting thousands of spam messages per day, posting your email on a public forum is one of the dumbest email-related things you could possibly do.

I recall there's also a "Contact Us" part of their homepage where you can send a message to Jagex directly. I did that once and asked them if losing members would keep you on ancients or lunar (turns out they don't, kinda people aren't they?).
