I would like to become a pwn tanker. =D

 

 

 

Basically what i would like to know are stats whereas i should start pking, any training places to switch up my routine for def/range would be appreciated, and should i get my prayer up, or keep it at 70?

 

P.S. the money i make from aviansies and green dragons will go to 94 mage and chins/armor etc.

I'd get 80 prayer, just so you have hawt prayer. If you really hate Leveling Cb then just leave it where it is at.

 

 

 

As for training, I do spiders for defence (I can go hours on end there) afk with no problem. Once you get high defence/use pots you have a small chance of dieing.

 

 

 

Ranged though is a little more complicated. I Sw for my range levels, I found this to be easiest and pretty fast. I Like to Afk, but if you don't, then you might wanna go Yaks or something, everyone uses them. :s

You cannot possibly become a tank. Anyone who tells you otherwise are lying, and only trying to get your hopes up. You're attack and strength are over a combined level of 147. That means you are melee based.

109 tankers have: 99 Range, Mage, Hitpoints, Prayer, and Defence. You are NOT a tank.

dude, for real. your just an "account". nothing more. tanks are people who limit themselves in atk and str and own at their level because of it. you cannot enjoy benefits (using godsword, etc) that tankers can't enjoy and then call yourself a tanker.

 

 

 

note: i say godsword because lower leveled tanks (such as myself) don't max out melee until later incase we need to do quests which give str or atk exp (which could ruin our build if we go over)

i'm not trying to be a flamer. even though i have very good pvp stats at my level, i rarely even pk. 99 def/range and 94 mage will basically get anyone kills in pvp.

 

 

 

your stats aren't that bad at all, you've just gone over the tank build.

With your current Attack, and Strength levels, youd be lvl 110 cb with:

 

 

 

99 Range/Mage/Hp/Def, and 70 prayer. That means you'll be 1 combat lvl higher than a maxed tank, and you would have 29 prayer levels missing. You could do it, but I don't recommend it.

yeah not many tanks get max prayer anymore. basically they max at 104 with 60 prayer or 109 with 99 str and 70 prayer(i think)

1. They usually max at 70 or 99 prayer. No one really does 60.

 

2. A tank DOES NOT level from melee. If it does, it is no longer a tank. It is IMPOSSIBLE to be a level 109 tank (Summoning excluded) WITHOUT 99 PRAYER. END OF. Yes, a tank can have 99 strength, and 50 attack, and still be range/mage based. But it WILL NOT be level 109 combat. 109 tanks are MAXED.

 

 

 

What you're suggesting to him with the 99 strength is called a "Hybrid Pker". In other words, he should stay 70-85 defence,70-80 atk, 70 prayer, and max out everything else. That is not a tank.

See, what you don't get, is that RANGE/MAGE TANKS ARE RANGE/MAGE BASED WITH A DECENT DEFENCE LEVEL, RELATIVE TO THEIR RANGE/MAGE. THAT'S WHAT TANKS ARE. It doesn't matter what you wear. It doesn't matter that you don't melee. Your account is melee based (THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS. NOTHING ELSE. TANKS MUST BE EITHER RANGE AND/OR MAGE BASED). Therefore, your account can not possibly be a tank. I'm sorry to break it to you, but ignorance gets you nowhere.

failed sarcasm. i'm in (probably) the oldest and most talented GE merchanting clan in runescape (our current leader created a 99% correct price change formula), i don't have time for other clans.

Now, explain to me, how is your account a Tank Ranger? I'll put as simply as I can:

 

 

 

A TANK BUILD in the MMORPG RuneScape is: An account whose main offensive stats are Range and/or Magic. Their combat is Range and/or Magic based. That is the most important characteristic of a tank. Along with this, they must have a decent defense level, relative to their combat level, in order to "tank" hits.

 

 

 

It does not matter what you do ingame. It does not matter that you do not pk. It does not matter that you own full ahrims, a DFS, and a Master Wand at 111 cb. Tanks MUST be Range and/or Magic based. 10 Range, 5 Defence is a Tank. 10 Str, 5 Range, 5 Defence is not. A level 3 is not.

 

 

 

Here's the definition of a ONE DEFENCE PURE, in the MMORPG RuneScape:

 

 

 

An account with 1 defence, and high offensive stats, in comparison to their defence level (1). Effectively, a 2 str, 1 defence account is a one defence pure. That is as simple as it gets.

Nothing else matters in determining what accounts are tanks, one-defence pures, zerkers, level3 skillers, initiate/vesta pures, etc.

 

 

 

Yet, you think what matters is what you wear. Yes, gear affects your performance as a tank. But it doesn't change your stat build.

 

 

 

Maxed-Out players don't call themselves "One-defence Pures", because they dont have any armor other than ghostly robes. "Oh, but I don't Pk, and my high level one-def pure clan accepts me as a one-def pure". You don't hear that either.

 

 

 

Although Tanks may refer to GWD Tanks, Clan Wars Tanks (For absorbing damage in a vital war for XXX Rank on XXX), this forum is for PLAYER KILLING. Obviously, he is asking for advice on how to most efficiently build a Tank for Risk-Pking purposes. There is really no point of "specialty combat" accounts otherwise.
