Expl0de
new question: would getting 85 mining by powermining iron be better than other moneymaking options? At 85 I would mine rune, yadda yadda yadda. What other good ways are there for pures to make money? Hey TIF! I have a few questions to ask, since I pretty much started over with RS with the hopes of becoming a decent Range pure. 1. Is Farming a good moneymaker even without the Magic Secateurs? 2. Can I do Farming without raising other skills to pay for Farming? 3. What is a good Herb farming route, with allotment patches included? (unrelated to farming) 4. Any quests that would benefit a Range Pure that do not increase my Defense or Prayer? Thanks for looking. :) -'Plode
Cptbaker08
Hey TIF! I have a few questions to ask, since I pretty much started over with RS with the hopes of becoming a decent Range pure. 1. Is Farming a good moneymaker even without the Magic Secateurs? Yes, but if you can get the Secateurs they can increase your profit. Herb farming is about the only real way to profit from farming. 2. Can I do Farming without raising other skills to pay for Farming? Yes, most seeds are cheap and can be bought for little amounts of GP. 3. What is a good Herb farming route, with allotment patches included? What I do, or use to do is use my Ectophile and run to the patch near Canafis, use my Explorer Ring 3 to Cabbage port and use the patch north of there, next i teleport to Ardougne and run out of the city and go north for the patch there. Finally i teleport to Camelot and run east to the patch in Catherby. (unrelated to farming) 4. Any quests that would benefit a Range Pure that do not increase my Defense or Prayer? Idk, i dont believe in pures :wall: Thanks for looking. :) -'Plode [hide=Drops]Slayer:Draconic Visage x3, Abyssal Whip x23, Dark Bow x3, Dragon Platelegs x3, Dragon Boots x40, Dragon Plateskirt x4, Shield Left Half x3, Dragon Medium Helms x10GWD:CS: Zamorakian Spear x2, Zamorak Hilt x1, Bandos Chestplate x1, Sara Sword x1DKs: Dragon Hatchet x3 Beserker Ring x1[/hide][hide=Completed Goals]Achieved April 26, 2009Achieved Sept. 15, 2009Achieved Nov. 21, 2009 Jan. 10, 2010 Achieved Mar. 5, 2010[/hide][hide=Goals][/hide]
sphinxor86
You don't need to finish Fairy Tale part 2 to keep get the secatures. Farming and Herblore work well togther, make potions that people buy, attack, prayer, strengh etc. My Arm's Big adventure gets you a disease free herb patch. Expl0de
Thanks for the info! I would use the secateurs if I could, but I can't do FTP1 :( Priest in Peril gives me Prayer xp - can't go to Morytania, unfortunately. Fairy Tale part 1 has quest requirements a 1 def pure cannot meet.

sphinxor86
Sorry for being so noobish but what exactly is a "Range Pure"? Is it someone whose combat level consists only of their range ability? Why would anyone want to do that....? Proud owner of Questcape since 4th July 2009!! :D :D

sphinxor86
Yes I know, my range is crap :P But is that what it is? Proud owner of Questcape since 4th July 2009!! :D :D
Jacobrod
Yes I know, my range is crap :P But is that what it is? A range pure is usually for pvp so they stay low combat level and hit really high with a very high range level [hide=Stats][/hide][hide=Total Exp Today][/hide]Talk on the phone for hours with schoolmates and you have an active social life.Raid naxx with some schoolmates on WoW and you're a fat menace to society with no ambition or motivation. llamster
1. Get the secateurs. It's good without but you should have them. 2. Certainly. 3. Tele to camelot to get to catherby patch, ectophial for port phasmytus, explorer's or glory to falador patch, ardougne tele to ardougne patch. Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:
