deletemeplease
I prefer skilling. I like it. But I've also seen how much can be made from killing things. Would you recommend skilling, (most likely runecrafting, hunting, or woodcutting with farming on the side) or combat? ( what would you recommend I kill? )
transcript80
Since you are not a pure in any way, you can do whatever you like at any given time. When I like to kill stuff I train slayer. It makes some money, but not a lot. When I feel like making money using skills I woodcut, farm ar fish/cook. It's really up to you, do the activity you actually ENJOY! Ezkaton
I agree with this poster. it depends on what you wana to. Tbh you should complete your goal of runecrafting to 99. But meh, people will most probably say slayer if you want to kill things because if you get tasks like turoths you'll gain full profit - eg: I have just had a task of 169 (60 to go) and i've made 185K so far from the herbs, seeds and runes........ (it may not be much to you but it keeps me happy as roughly every 5-10 tasks i make 1m ) so yeah, if you did slayer and wanted to max your money you could farm ranarrs on the side or something in the My Big Arms Adventure plot. Other than that the gathering/making skills will give you good income Reacting impulsively and saying what's on your mind feels oh so good.. for a little, until you realize you just started WWIII.2672nd person to reach 2496 total. Thanks to Wicked for the awesome siggy :D

ultimatballr
There is no need for you to limit yourself in any way shape or form. My advice is you do whatever you feel like that day. If you enjoy skilling more the chances are you will do that more which is fine, you will just have a highertotal level at a lower combat level. If, by chance, you find something that interests you combat wise and you get into that, well that's just fine too. That's what happened to me, I was 1700 total before 100 combat and that was fine. Do what you enjoy, but as for what to kill, I can't tell you that, you have to decide that on your own. In my opinion the best thing for you to do is train slayer and get all your combat skills to 80(att, str, def, mage, range) get preayer to 70 and summoning to 68. After that a lot of doors will open up for you to train and kill higher leveled monsters for money. Apparently, my signature was to big.
cat666
Do both. At the end of the day Jagex have severely limited the way you can make money via skilling. I used to be of the belief that combat didn't matter but sadly it does. I am now at the point where I kill for cash to raise non-combat skills. Trust the Gene Genie!
