darksonic45
First, try ending the Mozilla task with Ctrl + Alt + Delete and try reopening if that doesn't work then try restarting your computer and starting firefox if THAT doesn't work then Try loading it up in safe mode Start > Programs > Mozilla Firefox > Firefox (Safe Mode) If it works like that then it could be an add on or Plugin you downloaded. John Halo Chief
if that doesn't work, try deleting the actual program, not just icon. go on internet explorer (or whatever else u have) and download it again.
Salad
Do what other said, or leave Firefox in a corner and go use Opera (Like I did :))

At this point I'm wishing I had AOL.

Click on bookmarks - manage bookmarks - import and safetycopy- export as HTML. 2: IE8 isn't that horrible (but let's not discuss that now). Why don't you simply uninstall Firefox and reinstall it? To add bookmarks again, do as i said above but import the HTML file instead. Wongtong
Actually, Firefox does save bookmarks if you're updating Firefox or if you're reinstalling the same version of Firefox that had your bookmarks. (i.e if you had bookmarks on Firefox 3 and uninstalled then reinstalled, it should keep your bookmarks) My personal experience with this is that I downgraded Firefox 3 to Firefox 2. In this case (downgrading) my bookmarks weren't saved so I reinstalled Firefox 3 again and it still had my bookmarks. In your case, I would: 1. Remove Mozilla Firefox from your computer (Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs) 2. Download the version of Mozilla Firefox that you had before it tried to update (try finding the setup file that you had when you first downloaded it) 3. Install it, export bookmarks if you want to be safe (Bookmarks > Organise Bookmarks > Import and backup > Export HTML) 4. Uninstall Mozilla again. 5. Download latest version of Mozilla Firefox from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/. 8,180WONGTONG IS THE BEST AND IS MORE SUPERIOR THAN ME#1 Wongtong stalker.Im looking for some No Limit soldiers! anonymous1234
Turns out firefox has been open this whole time. I went to remove it from my comp, the uninstallation wizard popped up and said to close firefox. I go to control+alt+delete applications and its not there, but then I check under processes and there it is! I end it and try starting it up again. It says it is updating, just like last time it did, but this time it worked, and firefox opened! This is weird because I even restart my computer and it didn't work.
