The Rant/Problem

Ok so Herblore has a lot of things to go with it correct: vials, water filled, pestle and mortar, the 4 herblore gloves, a total of 17 different herbs (18 if you count the star flower for the magic ess potion) add the grimy versions and its 35, 29 different seconds, caviar, roe, 34 different potions and they all have 4 different amounts and then there are the 24 types of barbarian potions with 3 different amounts each.

Naturally you won't have all of the types in your bank, however if you were it would take up a whopping 281 slots in your bank if you were to have 1 of each. but this still really adds up taking valuable bank room. The fact that there is this many items for herblore alone means that you need somewhere to put them because if you were to even have a quarter of the amount of herblore items that are in the game it would take up 70 slots in your bank. Just having these items alone in your bank wouldn't be a problem however when compiled with all the other items that are in an average bank this can leave you grasping for room, and leave you debating what to keep and what to drop or sell.

My solutions

1) A cabinet could be added to the study in which could store x amount of vials, water filled vials, herbs, seconds, and potions. Lets say the first cabinet you build can store 50 water filled and 50 empty vials 10 herbs of 5 types. 10 of 5 seconds. 10 potions of 5 different types. Finally it would store a pestle and mortar. Each type of cabinet would store twice the amount of everything but pestle and mortar as the type that came before. There would also be a herblore level required to build it or set up the flat pack in order to encourage people to train there herblore.

2) Add a whole new room with objects in it that perform the type of functions as in above. However in addition since the druids are both the people who are most closely related to herblore as well as summoning you could add an obelisk in the middle of the room with lets say level 50 summoning

*note*Noted things will be storable due to the amount of items that you might deposit.

Other Player Solutions

  • It could be that as well as what you have suggested there could also be a cauldron in the room. The cauldron allows you to mix large amounts of potions at a time however in order to use it you must be 10 levels higher in herblore that it would require to make the potion normally. It also should require a high construction level to make. With higher leveled cauldrons you can make more and more potions at a time. -Thanks to Ockin Elf

I support, on the subject of unfilled vials how about an option (to avoid complaints on the part of those who like partial dosages for some reason) would be an option that uncharged items partially used potions roll over, that is to say if you have three pots with 1 dose it automatically fills to three if you have 2 with two doses it automatically fills to four etc. I could go into more detail about compensating for special situations etc, but I think you get the general idea. -Thanks to Darkwatersea

My only problem with it is the limits on how many things can be stored. If someone has 2500 attack potions, but only 2000 can be stored, then the remaining 500 are *still* going to take up bank space. Perhaps the highest level cabinet could store infinite amounts of things? It should also be possible to store noted things, so that people don't have to run back and forth from a bank to their house 90 times just to store their 2500 attack potions. -Thanks to Hallian

Idea of a quest to unlock new rooms in your house -Thanks to Bozarthmagic

Idea of a high level obelisk with high requirements so it wouldn't be debalencing see page 3 for details- Oldcoot109

How about a new skill cape emote -Scott 2

I do think it would be neat is the obelisk u make could be 1 to create pouches from, u would have to have high con & summoning lvls 4 it if u could. something like 75-80 construction,75-80 summoning

and to make it you would need 30,000 summoning shards(750k)& 8 magic stones(7800k) making a total of 8550k or about 8.5mill

maybe 1 or 2 more magic stones to drive the price up some more --Thanks to Oldcoot109

I really like your idea, though I like the idea of it being a room.. or maybe like a grove?

What if you could build a druids grove type place ~ it would work like a garden, with tree hotspots around the edge and a tree stumps(or something else on theme) for a cabinet and a fire with a cauldron for making potions in.

maybe you could even have a stream to fill your vials from?

What if you could store your herbs in plant beds?

Say for example, you have to have 100 of the herb, and you "replant" them into your grove? they would look pretty, and they would not respawn, you would have to "refill" the beds. --Thanks to Estarayella

Great idea! I have a suggestion to add to the PoH Costume Room, and your suggestions are very similar.

I think that one of the biggest functions of the PoH should be storage. Let's be honest, in rl if you had to find a place to put your potions (eg. drugs, illegal or legal) would you spend them to the BANK or to your MEDICINE CABINET?

I'm support 38, you got my name wrong. Zaaps Zero is my secondary account, Zaaps1 is my main.

Doesn't matter too much, but I'd prefer if you'd change that. Thanks! ::'

Hmmm I support, but I also agree that it should be more of a garden. The grove idea sounds nice.

I'll list some possible hotsposts and levels, but not the supplies.

Herblaw Grove: Level 70 Construction

HotSpot1 (center) Summoning Obelisk:

level 70 (with 50 summoning) Basic Summoning obelisk: Only recharges points

level 75 (with 50 summoning) Greater Summoning obelisk: Only recharges points (larger and more brilliant that last)

level 85 (with 70 summoning) Superb Summoning obelisk: Recharges points and allows ability to make patches

HotSpot2 (edge) Fencing:

Same as formal garden

HotSpot2 (inner edge) Hedging:

Same as formal garden

HotSpot3 (inner-er edge) Stream:

(Each stream out act like a water fountain would, at the corners a small spout would allow water to come into the stream)

70,80,85 allow for different sized streams

and I'm not sure how the actual herblore cabinet would fit, perhaps a rock structure? a wooden structure? I'll let your own creativeness think of that.

Wow I can't believe I wrote patches, it must've been later than I thought.

Anyways, what about making scrolls?

Typos happen all the time, nothing to worry about :P

What would the point be of making scrolls? No one goes to the Summoning Obelisks JUST to make scrolls, so no one would to the PoH JUST to make scrolls. Tbh, I think point-recharging with an added boost is enough, maybe restoring your familiar's hp as well.

This sounds preety good, would you mind me suggesting this one my forum about Guilds :)

This would be great for my herblore/farming guild and player owned guilds and this one be an awesome construction add-on. I would refer to as a communal apothecary, or alchemist. This would also be an awesome reward for a minigame or something (the ability to construct these)

If your interested check out the post and tell me what you think!
