Much smaller photos this time. ::'

I've been experimenting with the macro option... These are all on my DA as well.

And can someone offer advice about preventing over exposure (like in http://hawkxs.deviantart.com/art/Japane ... -121456951)

I like all of them. My only quibble with them is that in 'Bleeding heart', the background acts as the foreground, and the foreground acts like the background, which is slightly odd.

What camera are you using?

Prevent over-exposure by increasing shutter speed?

I'm using my mom's camera, it's a little canon one, these are the specs from DA:

Picture

Make: Canon

Model: Canon PowerShot A470

Shutter Speed: 1/8 second

F Number: F/3.0

Focal Length: 6 mm

ISO Speed: 200

I believe it's a 7.1 mega pixel, with 3.4x optical zoom (whatever that means)

ISO 200 at 1/8? o_O

Normally for out-doors, I use around 200 at 1/2500-3200 >.>

The closer you get (macro = very close), the less light you have, even for out-doors. And less light results in a slower shutter speed. For my macro shots, my shutter speed is usually at 1/200 at the very highest, but usually more like 1/50 or 1/100 or so. But that being said, a shutter speed of 1/8 is very, very slow, especially considering that the photos aren't even true macros.
