How many hours would it take to get enough points to buy infinity boots? Do you think its worth the time getting them or should I just use the time to make money, then buy from GE?

Buy from GE. You could probably just make the money much faster.

What type of things are infinity boots useful for?

They are the best boots for mages. So maging.

I use them for slayer tasks where I need magic defense, such as Abberant Spectres, Bloodvelds, or Infernal Mages.
