May 11, 200917 yr Well today's appeal system update gave me the chance to appeal an offense from almost a year ago(it was obviously unwarranted, but did not realy do much damage) that was "deferred" aka unappealable, and when I went to appeal it I noticed that no evidence was available :wall: Luckily I had copied the evidence into an old topic on these forums to whine about my muting, and I noticed that seemingly random bits of the conversation were excluded. Several lines from a censored user carried a similar writing style, though(what he was saying had nothing whatsoever to do with the offense). So, this made me wonder if maybe Jagex only included lines from the person who had accused you in their eveidence? It would be interesting if they were using a U.S. 6th ammendment principle over in a British company...actually they probably have a similar law, but whatever. May 11, 200917 yr Evidence is useful to provide you with information about why you've got penalised, and to provide a justification for that penalty. The only information needed for this is the lines of chat that you've typed out. Including the accuser is not useful in aiding with the offense, and you have no business in knowing the name of the accuser. It only leads to flaming after one finds out that someone has reported him. So, no, you have no right to see your accuser. Some sort of US law is not applicable here. We're talking about a game. May 12, 200917 yr Who reported you really isn't important. What's important is what you did that got you reported in the first place. Besides, a whole bunch of players may have reported you at the same time.

I suppose that i neglected to mention that this offens eis record at about 10 months ago, and is in no way affecting my account, so the moral objections are completely unnecessary and also unwarranted. I was not asking if I *should* be able to see the person who reported, as I said before all names beside my own were censored for obvious reasons. I simply noticed that the lines other than my my own tha were included all seemed to be the same person. This is simply something to satisfy my curiosity and has no effect on anything else whatsoever. IF I am right and the included lines are all from the same person(I only have 2 mutes ever(not considering a succesfully appealed one for callign a comment "stupid") and both of them were for this same incident), then I was wondering WHY that specific user had their liens included in the evidence. As said before, they have NOTHING to do with the possibly "offensive" language, and it would seemt hat a random person was selected to be included in the evidence, or the accuser was selected. The latter option seems much more logical, no? I was in no way implying that I am entitled to constitutional bylaws in the game, and I never said anythign of the sort. I was just wondering if anyone who has been muted enough to see a recurring pattern knew whether or not my assumptionw as correct. I have doubts that many people with repeated mutes would read through this post at all though... The only way that I can think of testing this myself would be to have a friend report me and get me muted intentionally....which I would rather avoid. Yes they really do answer questions you send. They've answered both of mine when I sent them. But if Jagex can see all the text in your chatbox, the no. May 13, 200917 yr Yeah same thing happened to me. I made a stupid sarcastic remark regarding personal info and got reported for it. It was denied the appeal ,and after the new appeal system thing came out, they said it was appealable again. No evidence though...Weird....
