Alrighty.

1.) Are FPS that you play over the net, like CS or Combat Arms or something like that a MAJOR strain on your limit ? I mean I've got 15 Gigs a month peak time, so does it use alot of it up ?

2.) When I run a game, a week ago the fan stayed mostly silent when I played. Now, when I play that same game the fan is going on overdrive. What's happening ? Anything I can do to fix it ? Possible causes ?

Yup, thats it.

Thanks.

1) There's a chance that the amount of data transferred between server and client hits maybe 2-4GB a month, but I doubt it'd go over 15GB monthly.

2) Try blowing some dust out of the card's fan (and your whole machine, while we're at it). This might alleviate some of the noise problems.

...Alright, the Elf City update lured me back to RS over a year ago.

1. The only way that would happen would be if you where constantly downloading new maps, skins, mods, audio etc.

All online games only actively transfer small amounts of data.

2. Did you increase the settings? If not do as makoto said and try clearing out the fans.

I highly doubt that you would get anywhere close to the limit, really the major strain on bandwidth is downloading things. When you play a fps game, almost all the data is loaded by your computer, and the network sends extremely small packets.

1) As has been said, not really unless you're downloading maps and such from servers.

2) Try clearing out the fans if you can, dust tends to build up on them which can cause problems if you leave it unchecked for ages. The best way to do it is with compressed air, vacuums can create static which can cause problems for components in your computer. I think earthing it gets around this problem, not 100% sure though.
