Hurricane Katrina quite frankly proved how the bush administration cant handle a disaster for crap

Maybe they didn't want to handle the disaster well, maybe they wanted it to go all wrong so they could do a marshall law drill and an excuse to take away American's second amendment rights.

Now why would a Republican administration want to take away the most Republican supported amendment?

Just because neocons claim to be supporters of Republican ideals doesn't mean they actually do.

There is too many politics going out. I say, throw out bureocracy and just get down to the coast to help (why I support changing fema). I mean, its like some people act its Bush's falt the hurricane hit. #-o

Oh I agree about that! Let's get back to Reagan Conservatism!

But methinks Bush is the last person to try and stop the second amendment...he's from Texas afterall. :P

I DON'T think that anything involving the second amendment is mixed up in this.

Should law enforcement be able to confiscate weapons from citizens during a natural disaster?

I don't think they should be able to, they have the right to defend themselves and when the government failed to react in a timely manner, were left on their own.

It's not Bush's fault the huricane hit, its just his fault many people more than needed died. Instead of using tax payers money to build better levi's he was giving tax cuts to the richer people. And instead of informing the people earlier he waited to long

Hahhaahahaahaa. I can't believe you actually posted that. I'm going to post this information even though I don't feel bothered to go look up a source. It's such an old discussion I don't have a source at hand right now, but if you insist, I'll go find one.

The construction of the levi's has nothing to do with Bush. In fact though, in the early 90's there were several attempts to building the levi's to be stronger, and they were shot down by RADICAL left-wing peace lobbyists who didn't want to harm the enviroment. The lobbyists virtually prevented any construction, and the corrupt government of New Orleans frankly didn't care.

Bush, as the leader of the U.S. federal government in 2000, has nothing to do with the construction of levi's that have been built since around 1984 (not 100% positive on the date). Anyone who says Bush should have built the levi's stronger has absolutely no idea what they're talking about.
