walka92
i was at saradomin godwars (no uncommon for me) and everything was going fine. we had a ss split, we were close to 100 kills, and we had close to 1.5m loot each. we were all in good gear (barrows or bandos, furys, godsword, one had claws) at one point, one of our team died. i thought "he must have lagged or something. no biggie" so naturally i got off zil to run/pot pray/bless his grave. or i tried to. to my horror, nothing happened. the ENTIRE [bleep]ING SERVER CRASHED. everyone on the team got disconected and died. no chance to bless grave and we all lost upwards of 5-10 mil. all because jagex [bleep]ing up and crashing a server i NEVER die at godwars without other influences (lag, dc) and when i do, my grave is blessed before i time out and all is fine i lost fury, v-helm, 1.5m loot, dragon boots, zerk ring, herblore cape, unicorns+scrolls(3k of them), pots, loot etc. just because jagex accidently killed the server if a person dc's, the gravestone should automatically be blessed to an hour. regardless of circumstances. i am royaly PISSED OFF at jagex's screw up I'm gonna be walking down an alley in varrock, and walka is going to walk up to me in a trench coat and say "psst.. hey man, wanna buy some sara brew"walka92- retired with 99 in attack, strength, defence, health, magic, ranged, prayer and herblore and 137 combat. some day i may return to claim 138 combat, but alas, that time has not yet come
Cinos
When they crash a server they could at least automatically log everyone out, or as you said bless everyone's graves that die. #-o I think jagex said they are working on the grave dissapearing if you lag out issue, but having your grave automatically blessed if you lag out could be abused by people just pulling out the wire in their router if they die soloing something. Sir_Kurity
Though i like your idea, i think its a little bit easy to abuse. Oh no, im dieing, lets pull out my modem so i have 1 hour gravestone. I think its better if you die and then disconnect, your grave timer is freezed, and when you log in again it starts ticking. O.O
walka92
or if jagex knows a server has/is/going to crash, just bless every grave. just ANYTHING to stop this from happening to other people (possibly for alot more than me) I'm gonna be walking down an alley in varrock, and walka is going to walk up to me in a trench coat and say "psst.. hey man, wanna buy some sara brew"walka92- retired with 99 in attack, strength, defence, health, magic, ranged, prayer and herblore and 137 combat. some day i may return to claim 138 combat, but alas, that time has not yet come

The_Gabe
Who else was in the team? Three months banishment to 9gag is something i would never wish upon anybody, not even my worst enemy.

Smapla
these things are not predictable, and not the fault of jagex. it is most likely the fault of the people who run the server farm, though it could of course be to a power outtage or something else in that region. Assume Nothing
Heh, dc'ing is my middle name, I've dc'd at every single boss I've been to, so I know how it feels. I find it quite sad that when something like this happens, alike the µ glitch, JaGex couldn't really do much to help you. Say, in PvP, if someone died with a server crash, what is JaGex going to do? Give them a blessed grave? There are flaws in your solution, but it's not impossible to find workarounds. I agree that dcing is causing problems, and server crashes too, when something like this happens, it's no one's fault, or everyone's fault. It's hard to know what to do.
