Terror Dogs Task

I just got terror dogs as a slayer task. Now id never heard of them before this so I don't know much about them I looked on tip it bestiary but I don't know if I could kill them. I don't want to skip them because i'm trying to get slayer helm. I need some advice on how to kill them e.g. prayer pots yes? no? etc.

At lvl 90 combat I'd say ur gonna have to skip them or be in for a hell of a ride.

 

 

 

Firstly they are an absolute pain in the butt to get to if you don't have a slayer ring.

 

 

 

Secondly they are in multi.

 

 

 

Thirdly most well seasons slayers into the 120s and 130s skip them because they do a lot of damage and give virtually no xp.

To add to Paw_Claws post you prayer drops in there room.

 

 

 

I would only do a task of them once you have the slayer ring as it saves a massive amount of effect and time.

OK i'll skip it then am I right in thinking that I'll lose less points if I use 30 points to skip it because it takes antoher 4 tasks in a row to gain points which would lose 48 points if I burthrope it.

Yes ur best to spend points to skip, Unless ur using a stupidly low end master u make the points up easy anyway.

 

 

 

I mean Duradel/Laplok is 15 points a task and Summona is 12(?)

 

 

 

So points skip = set bk by about 2 tasks

 

Burthorpe skip = set bk by 4 taskes

It's not just the points it costs you to skip...the real loss is that it takes you longer to get to the 10 tasks in a row mark which offers you the points bonus (and then also longer to get to the 50 tasks mark) - this is the real loss.

you seem to be saying paying points to skip is bad because it doesn't jsut cost u thoose points it costs u the bonuses tht u r then further away from?

 

 

 

 

 

but this is not the case becuz if u pay to skip u dont lose your task count and therefore are still right there and able to get the bonuses

What winthern meant to say was that if you "Burthorpe" a task, your task count restarts and you'll be further away from the tasks with bonus points.

I figured that much, but still what he wrote implied that paying points to skip it hindered you.

 

 

 

Not everyone is smart enough to see that he clearly referenced the wrong skipping method, so I thought I'd point out the lack of logic in it politely so that anyone reading the thread who wasn't bright enough to spot his error would be informed and not get confused.
