  1. thanks so much both of you - guess it's time for me to learn how the new combat works!
  2. Hi. Whenever i try to "play" the Holy Cithara, all i get is a message that "You can't perform that emote with the item sheathed". How do i "unsheath" it?! Thanks in advance...
  3. thanks! checked the guide but nothing missing. On the killing citizens/collecting bloood. the guard tells me he wants blood and the citizen refuses to give me money even when i have the dagger...not sure what i'm doing wrong!
  4. Hi, i've completed the Branches of Darymeyer quest but haven't got enough status for the Vyrelord title. Think during the quest i made some bad choices in for instance Taunting the Prisoner and also went for the blood gift to the guard rather than killing the citizens. Now i've completed it i'd like to make up the difference but can't find any un completed tasks and can't either kill any more prisoners or get any more money from the canifis settlers to get more blood. Does anyone have any ideas what i might be able to do? Thanks!
  5. Hi there. Does anyone know how much more zeal points are worth if you cash in in batches of 100? Thanks!
  6. you can check if it counted by clicking on check remaining time that then tells you how many skills you've done.
  7. loving the jack of all trades...xp gain makes pengs look amateur hour!
  8. Yup died a load of times here :) all too easy to do. mage pray and melee armour helped. then realising you could still hit him when he;s flying. When the blood range thing is happening - click to run away then click attack and then repeat every time you take a hit. if you get hit at this point focus on running and eating. The rest of the time he was ok. Do a search on youtube for videos of it if you still struggle...
  9. Presumably that's a fix waiting to happen...
  10. Thank you both - never even thought about Totally genius idea. Anything where using them is a waste/bad idea? Any times they don't stack?
  11. Hi. I've finally got round to actually making overloads (well will do shortly care of a curry or two) but just wondered how extensively people use them. Any views on when they're worth using and when they're not? Thanks!
  12. Pickpocket guard - 1 skill Kill guard on Controlled - 4 skills Bury bones - 1 skill Cut 2 logs, burn 1, fletch 1 - 3 skills Alch bow - 1 skill Takes less than a minute for ~9k rc xp, pretty nice. They let you include combat? This is way too generous - seems a no-brainer to get this. The pedant in me does suggest one shouldn't forget to factor in travel time to reclaim the xp too :)
  13. Sorry to hijack but i have the same question and this is super useful. Any idea which skills are affected? Is it just one oral the skills you've trained? Thanks.
  14. Apologies for my ignorance but i'm not sure i understand how you combine. Can you elaborate? I quite like Blastfurnance but it does take forever and frankly smithing is a means to an end for me, not an end in itself!
  15. sounds like superheating it should be then...40k of them urk. on spelling, you're right - should be no double 'n' but pretty sure the 'u' is right. Thanks for all your thoughts!
  16. Hi all. I've gone off and purchased 40k gold ore and was just about ready to start smelting with gauntlets at the ready when i thought "surely there's a better way?!" Any thoughts of a faster way of smithing a similar amount of xp without spending much more on this? Aiming to get to lvl 88 or so as that will put most of the elite diaries within reach with a helpful stew or two. Thanks!
  17. Is it worth mentioning that you don't need 85 fletching for the magic long task? You can also simply use a fletching pot from lvl 82 (did this myself yesterday). Thanks.
  18. I always liked logging out at My Arm as that's an even longer run.
  19. Sorry for hijacking but i'm in complete awe of your lvl 76 :) what are the most important features to "doing it right"? i'm finding xp pretty slow doing complexity 6 on solo although i certainly am enjoying it...seems to be a skill designed for the multi-skiller.
  20. Trollheim: The patch isn't super composted, so you do need to add super compost to increase yield but the fact that it's got a 100% hit rate is valuable in terms of xp and cash. it's not that far from tele once you get the agility shortcuts down pat and i find it's a good overnight log off point. i.e. finish the run and playing session there and then start again from there to cut the trips down. in terms of its own return, i can only recall one four herb yield from that patch and never a three herb yield so with a rule of thumb required yield of five herbs per seed, two laws are completely irrelevant. In terms of loss rates, 1 in 3 sounds dreadfully bad luck but perhaps my results are positively influenced by trollheim. i don't formally record mine but i seem to lose about one every two runs (five seeds per run) on average (maybe slightly worse but not much). i'm clearly not at your level of experience but most of my xp is from herbs since around lvl 60. Don't do too many trees although i'm now offloading my 13 accumulated spirit seeds given i've finally hit 83 :) Good luck on the God birds, i got my 3 a few months ago and must admit i quite like having them there keeping my house warm.
  21. That's because they're new and overpriced, not for the same reason as Godswords and SS. apologies i should know this but what is a "sol"?
  22. I already do this. I'm always fairly sure I was using slash against it (Believe I was using a spear of sorts, can't remember which type). Guess I just got unlucky with my hits/being hit. and buying ores for armour? That's at least 6 ore, for level 6 armour that's just less than 120k for it, and if you want to craft a decent weapon first (which is useful as often don't start with one), then that's another 4 bars or so. It's not always feasible to have that much money. Don't think i've yet had a dungeon where i've not had access to at least one rock from lvl4 to lvl 8 (which is within my mining range) however i do sometimes hunt for hides and then craft some hide chaps as an alternative. Between the ores and coin drops i've pretty much always been able to get at least some armour. I've basically found (thus far - last night was my first time in lvl11 which is harder) that as long as i have an inventory full of food and one full prayer load then everything i've faced so far is achievable without dying. I usually have at least a third of the food left over. My bound items are a kata 2h and 50 or so gorgonite arrows so it really is about getting armour with other weapons being a bonus. I also tried alching last night - was shocked to see how much extra cash i had as a result!
  23. i usually found best spot for hill giants was over by the observatory i'd be surprised if there was a better spot for moss giants than where the pirate ship docks on your way to the Lunar Isle...
  24. i've only faced it up to lvl 208 or so on solo - not sure if it goes higher. The only time i struggle on this one is when i have little food left. that usually only happens when i get no armour in the entry room and then have to battle through a lot of rooms without armour before finding the resources to get some...once you have decent melee armour in the outer rooms then you can easily accrue a good inventory full of food from the monsters you kill on the way/from fishing and from growing potatos. Personally I use lvl 8 2h (haven't got better one yet!) on slash with melee armour and mage prayer on. Seems to work well against GB.
