Yep you only need the quests to start the quest (thats a mouth full). I've yet to complete legends (so little reward for a long quest as well as I hate smithing), but I've completed RfD. You will require the woodcutting level though as you have to get through the jungle/path. If you're planning on using melee your stats are fine, 1333337. I would definetly recommend you bring dragon armour (or better) and if you have it, a whip. Don't forget to get sufficient stat-inhancing and prayer pots. A couple of tuna potatoes would also be quite useful. Good luck.
