Off guard or not, you're supposed to be able to keep standing with just a little force aplied, though I could knock you off your feet even if you tried blocking it, you just gotta aim slightly upwards, something that isn't hard if you're low. [hide=Today]1. I Leave the house with my physics project nearly completed 3 days ahead of time. I am very happy, as I usually procrastinate like crazy and I really thought I had done a good job.

2. My dad goes downstairs at some point and discovers the catapult.

3. He assumes it's a pet project of mine and goes to tinkering with it, essentially rendering it incapable of performing the intended function.

4. I get home with fresh ideas in my head to complete the catapult and find it how my dad left it.

5. I sit down and stare at it for a few minutes, wondering how I'm going to fix it.

6. I realized it was beyond gone and that I'd have to start from scratch.

The minute I started walking away my friend found a friend who had been mugged the same way with a friend of his. Chances are, he's doing it to someone else right now. What really pisses me off is that I can't feel safe arround that place anymore.

I think I am subconciously over-estimating myself... it's a very strange feeling, thinking I'm more awesome than I try to think. Heck, I even feel like ending this with something implying that my sub-conciousness is right.

Right now, I think that would have been the right thing to do. But at the moment, the guy was constantly intimidating us. First of all, me and my friend were sitting down. The moment I stood up, intending to walk away, he stood right infront of me, blocking my way, and then stared at me and said "Sit down". I noticed my friend was still sitting down, and I didn't really know if the guy was armed or anything. And he had mentioned he was not alone, and he had some guys arround who knew who we were. I knew this was all [cabbage], but I didn't want to take my chances, considering people get killed for resisting thefts. He also at one point said "I don't give a [cabbage] about the people here. If I have to beat the [cabbage] out of someone, I will. If I have to shoot someone, I will. Do you understand?"

 

Had I been alone, I would have just ran away, but I couldn't just leave my friend there.

Lol, playing real tough? In that case I'd woob his ass trying to use a lot of time to knock him out if I was alone, or just go for 1 or 2-hit-ko if I had a friend nearby... and I'd leave a note or something. I wouldn't even care if he was armed, a concealed weapon is a useless weapon, and drawing it'd leave him open.
