You know whats funny? 4 rings means either the AV jack cord isn't plug in correctly or its the jacks themselves.

Okay, if I ever hear anyone utter the phrase "or so it goes," I will be obligated to smack them. And I'm serious. I'm only 57 pages into this book and the guy must have used that phrase at least once, maybe twice per page.

How do comics work, anyway? How many people work on them?

It varies. There are some web-published comics (commonly called webcomics) that are imagined, written, scripted, drawn, colored, and published all by one person. A larger company like Marvel probably has multiple people working at each of those to make things faster, though.
