Since I posted that I replied to three texts and I'm working on number four. So apparently I decided to just go for it.

 

I went to my grandparents' house one weekend this summer and in a matter of 36 hours use about 1800 texts, it's definitely evident that I had a blast up there.

So, a couple months ago I mentioned to my parents that I might be thinking of getting a job with a friend of mine over the summer. It was simply to get some money maybe and do something with him. I wasn't sure, but I was leaning towards doing so.

 

My mom grabbed the idea, and now she's basically told a guy that I will work for him so he can go to his daughter's softball games. The problem is that this job is not with my friend, and it's about half the money of what I was looking at anyway. However, she's basically told me I can't say no because it would hurt her relationship with that customer (my mom sells advertisements).

 

So now I went from, "Yeah, I probably will get a job for the summer" to "[bleep] no, not if you're going to volunteer me for some [cabbage]ty job I don't want." It's awesome.

I think my mom has lost the idea of me working this summer. I move out August 16, I'll need a week for vacation with my dad and possibly a week to go to California to visit my giant uncle, and I can't drive anyway.

That's the other funny thing - I don't have a car. If I don't get a job with Dylan, I either have to go to work sweaty every day, or get my mom to take me. Neither of which are particularly favorable circumstances.
