That's understandable then.

Protip: Don't fire a gun when you're standing next to an incline.

Oh, and my cousin's Crowning Moment of Awesome: Getting a self-important [puncture] of a World at War fan to fire a Mosin-Nagant. The gun's kick knocked him into a backwards roll down a hill. :D

Is your cousin 5 years old or something?

No. Do you mean for pulling something immature like that?

I believe he means that unless he was firing a 50 cal. sniper rifle he isn't going to be pushed back that much.

He was a young adult (like 17-20 I think) individual, but he didn't have much muscle at all. He was firing from a rough approximation of a video game, so it wasn't braced and was in an awkward position, and the actual bang and recoil scared the living [cabbage] out of him. Plus he only rolled a short way, and was already standing at the edge of the slope.

Now the picture is clear.

Was he injured at all?

If you're shooting a gun in the fashion of a video game, I bet he was.

I think he got a cut lip and a bit of general bruising. My cousin knows pretty well what will and won't significantly injure a person, and made sure he didn't hurt himself too badly.

The whole thing, if I recall, was to teach that guy and his friends a lesson about lecturing people on guns you've never fired. And my cousin can be kind of a hardass at times.

I know Jagex employees have three monitors at each of their workstations. It boosts productivity a lot. But other than that, I don't see the reason behind doing it.

What's the deal about TVtropes? I feel like I'm missing something here.

I browsed it a few times and got bored.

Looks like it's fairly new. I've never had the opportunity to watch a show from the beginning before.
