Unless you're texting a LOT, you will not need unlimited texting. I text daily with a lot of people but can manage it to the point where I am still well within a limited amount. As you say you have no friends, I highly doubt you're going to need unlimited texting. Complete waste of money.

 

Honestly, for your first phone, just get a Tracfone so you can get an idea of what you'll be using it for.

 

2000-4000 text messages a month.

 

10 cents a text message. in canada I can get unlimited text messaging for $10.

 

I;d be a fool not to get it.

 

text messaging services:

google sms - text to google and you can find out weather, and definitions etc through sms.

twitter - find out bus schedules if your transit company is on twitter. as well as news etc.
