Anyway, if the Muslim Brotherhood wins the Egyptian election(which I think they technically already did) I predict we're over there cleaning up some kind of mess within 50 years.

I saw that one coming as soon as the original protests started.

 

I think it's hard to say what the 'right' answer would've been to that mess. America's only choice, sometimes, is to watch things go to shit and try to clean up afterwards.

 

That's the price of Democracy coupled with an interest in international politics, I suppose.

I think they should deal with it themselves. Why waste my brother's blood for people who will resent us for it. I take issue when they start doing stuff that endangers everyone.

 

Also it really should be a world/ UN decision to clean up these places. But when have they done more than "impose tough sanctions" and "send UN Peacekeepers" pretty much to evacuate only the people not involved with the conflict.

Thing is, if a country elects Muslims democratically, it's still a Democracy. There goes that card, out the window.

I don't care if they elect Muslims, probably the majority of the people over there are Muslims. I think even the Taliban and Saddam Hussein were elected fairly, the issue is keeping it that way. Look at Russia right now, there's riots because the guy got 140% of the votes. When Ahmadinejad got "reelected" there were also huge riots, but after about 2 weeks the media got bored, the riots may as well of never happened for the outside wold, and people started being executed.

Well, I got a scholarship from the College of Engineering and the Volunteer Award. So I guess those are from being in Honor's.

Can't tell if Napalm is making a joke about it, or thinks I'm making that up and is mocking me.

Whats the point of honors programs in college? Does it just make you feel good or something?
