1. The selflessness of it will either better demonstrate your affection or garner pity

2. Later she can't argue that you guys only did what "you" wanted to do.

3. If you're feeling as shameless as me, chick flicks usually butter chicks up.

4. You might end up enjoying it anyway for other reasons(Ex: I went to see Twilight in a shameless attempt to get laid(didn't work). It was outrageously funny to me, especially after the baby was the werewolf's soulmate and I loudly exclaimed "What the [bleep]!?!")

But that takes away from the epic of it. In the movie he left behind the woman he loved, who was a conniving [bleep] so caught up in a girlish fantasy that she didn't realize how good she had it. To top it off she was sobbing hysterically because she'd finally realized what an idiot she'd been. It was classic!
