A massive solar flare has just hit the Earth, knocking out the power grid, and frying electronics over the entire continent. What skills/knowledge do you have to survive?Pretty good knowledge of survival skills, okay experience with archery, physically fit.What is your plan?I'd pack everything important to me and head to my fathers. He has the advantage of living in the boonies, and his house is heated by a wood burner, he also owns several firearms and a bow. What things/people would you take with you if you plan on moving?My family obviously, our guns, as much preservable food as I can, take anything we have that might help preserve food. Take all medications around the house. Sleeping bags, blankets, etc. Take as many tools as possible. Also just another note, if such an event were to happen the estimated time for the US Eastern Coast to get the power grid back up and such, about 3 years.
