In the subject of Science teachers, my Biology teacher last year was incredible. She has a long history in the school district, at least three decades methinks. In that time she has averted catastrophe more than once, most notably when she ran across the tops of the desks to prevent the gas lines from catching fire and blowing up. She has taught herself to walk again through balance and force of will after a spinal injury left her with no feeling from the waist down. She has made significant contribution to New York State science lab activities and curriculum. She has attained the highest regents passing rate out of the entire school district. And most of all, she left an unforgettable mark on all her students.
