June 10, 200917 yr As for the argument that marijuana is harmful, and causes health issues, why do we allow rock climbing, hang gliding, sky diving, swimming, diving, boxing, wrestling etc. all of those are for enjoyment and have caused infinitely more deaths than pot. I believe an argument for this is that when these activities are done, only fun arises, no health problems or death. However, when you smoke pot, correctly :| , the health problems are unavoidable. If you use a vaporizer, the problems are mostly avoidable. If it's illegal because it can harm you, why isn't cutting oneself illegal, why isn't oh I don't know, going into the woods and eating rocks illegal. Why isn't war illegal? Hegemony-Spain
June 10, 200917 yr Weed is not addictive, but you can't deny that it has some bad effects. And the bad far outweighs the good. I just don't understand it. All schools should do is give us the facts, the good and the bad, and we'll get the idea: stay away. But nope. They have to exaggerate it to the point where it just loses all credibility. Pretty sure marijuana isn't GUARANTEED TO KILL YOU INSTANTLY EVERY TIME. Basically, give us the facts of why it's bad, not just make it sound like something that came from the pits of hell. Exaggerating it makes eyes roll. Get back here so I can rub your butt.

Exaggerating it makes eyes roll. The bad only outweighs the good based on opinion. I know several people in my school who have a 3.9 or 4.0 gpa, are athletic, and smoke weed, and a few 40+ year olds who are in perfect health and have since they were in their teens. Hegemony-Spain

June 10, 200917 yr War being necessary is a matter of opinion. Now we do officially need a declaration from Congress according to the War Powers Act of 1973, but every president since then except for Obama (so far) has broken that law. Get back here so I can rub your butt.
June 11, 200917 yr Someone posted a link about marijuana related car injuries. Cell phone distraction causes 2,600 deaths and 330,000 injuries in the United States every year, according to the journal's publisher, the Human Factors and Ergonomics Societ http://www.livescience.com/technology/0 ... anger.html Clearly the only logical thing would be to make cell phones illegal all together!
June 11, 200917 yr It's a plant, I don't consider it a drug. And it's fun. And fml Yeah, and Desert Eagle's aren't weapons, they're fire-spears. [English translation needed]

June 11, 200917 yr It's a plant, I don't consider it a drug. And it's fun. And fml Yeah, and Desert Eagle's aren't weapons, they're fire-spears. flamebait? Anyways, by the definition of what a drug is, weed is a drug. Just because it's a plant, not made from a plant, doesn't mean it's not a drug.
June 11, 200917 yr It's scary how people actually believe the brainwashing. In jr high (grades 7, 8, 9 here) we would have 1 or 2 two hour long assemblies every year consisting of cops preaching about how anyone who tries pot will end up homeless junkies who smoke their arm-scabs for meth residue. Marijuana is non-addictive, non-carcinogenic if taken properly, and even when smoked it's damaging simply because you're inhaling smoke. While driving, it's less dangerous then being drunk, and doesn't make you aggressive like alcohol. By keeping it illegal the government is helping gangs and drug traffickers make money (and inherently, increasing street violence) while losing out on potential taxes. However, at least in my province there is enough paranoia caused by these redicioulous government programs that any party to come out as pro marijuana legalization would never gain power. I by the way, do not smoke weed, but I'm not ignorant. quit
