Wii Rock Band/Guitar Hero Compability Question

Featured Replies

I currently have a Wii, and two wireless Guitar Hero Les Pauls (+GH3). They've got a deal in the RedOctane store where you can get the Wii drums, World Tour, Metallica, and Aerosmith for $150... But Rock Band is coming out with a LEGO version around December (not kidding). Are the guitars/mike/drums compatible with either game? I've heard the Wii Guitar Hero drums are bad, are the Rock Band ones better?

I'm pretty sure they don't have any compatibility issues, or at least on the 360/PS3 they don't. Fairly sure they have no issues on the Wii now either though. Don't take my word on it though, I'm not positive.

And I've heard the world tour drums are better.

The Wii Les Pauls do not work with the RB1 engine, but do with the RB2 engine. I assume Lego Rock Band will be built off the RB2 engine, so your safe. The drums can be played on any game (GH drums on RB, and RB drums on GH), and all USB mics are always compatible.

If you're looking to play seriously and actually try to get high scores, I recommend using the RB drum set, but if you just want to have fun the GH drum set is better for that (although a lot of them have sensitivity issues.)
