jakeinjosh Posted June 13, 2009 Share Posted June 13, 2009 im in the process making a range tank atm, and i was wondering if i'll be able to kill elvarg with only 10 def and 40 range. i'm f2p and i'll be using a maple shortbow and addy arrows and the best equips, so, is it possible? yes or no and why. Elvalg is different pert sure he is like metal dragons. i did the quest on my range/2h pure and i tried to safespot him to see if its possible and without the shield i got owned by the long range attack so hes not safespottable. And I thought you didnt really need that to be a range tank *cough* You will probably want some attack and strength for a f2p ranged tank, for ranged 2h combo, and if he plans on going p2p it doesn't matter because it won't affect his combat level if his range is high enough. Just kill him with a crossbow and bronze bolts (and the anti-dragon shield obviously). I've done it before at 1 defence and about 50 ranged, and it was very easy. :ohnoes:My Guide on Obby Mauling! darkenigma0 Posted June 14, 2009 Share Posted June 14, 2009 I don't think you are going to hit very high with bronze bolts at level 40 ranged. I think you should get like 50+ or something and then attempt it. You are also going to need a lot of food because it's going to take a long time to kill it with bronze bolts and he also has a long range attack. But good luck!
