Many believe that the 1980 eruption of Mt. Look up a fight-cave guide and bring a toned down version of the inventory (you won't need sara brews, prayer pots instead of super restores, etc...). Getting champion can be annoying, either go on an official fight pits world and try to win a game, or get a good friend and an empty world. Is there point in going for the cape while doing it? Yes, but it will cost you some cash for the supplies and you need to research well if you want the cape on that try.
