All untradable holiday items can be retrieved for free from Diango if lost. (Well, except the zombie head, which you need to dig up in Lumbridge Swamp or something.)

Yes, ever since x-mas 2006 (or 2007?, anyway, since the wooly hat thing) you can destroy your holiday items. You can then reclaim them from Diango (the guy that sells spinning blades and toy horses) in Draynor village.

Carrot doesn't have a destroy option, just a drop option.

 

 

 

And if you drop your carrot, Diango will have it for you when it disappears from the ground. I confirm it.
