Well I ran a spyware scan w/ AT&T Internet Security Suite, and then Grokster came up. So I deleted it.

 

I rescanned and Grokster appeared again.

 

 

 

I did my research and found out that it is related to P2P programs; I have used LimeWire and Ares (deleted) and currently using Frostwire. Do I have to remove Frostwire as well? Or is there a permanent solution without removing it?

So they get you when you download it and when you try and uninstall it. Ouch.

Uninstall Frostwire/Limewire, search for you old download-programs and delete all of their entries. Remove any old maps, entries and registry keys still left for grokster (you could use CCleaner for that). If it is a seperate program aswell, uninstall it. Rescan with your security software again.

 

Run Esets or Pandas online scanner after this and see if it's still there.

 

I've quickly checked a couple of security suites and all of them deletes it. If it still persists after deletion you can always follow the solution on x encyclopedia. This is really old.

 

 

 

As a side note i'd recommend you to get uTorrent instead.

It doesnt.

 

But he was giving different option for the software that caused the problem.
