I took a photo! With a shoddy digital camera...

This could have the potential to be so much more, but at the moment, it doesn't have the wow factor :(. You should have taken that shot in the morning, and had the sun on it, in someway. Also, if you go back there, try this:

Get close to one of those poles, and stand a bit back and use a macro (if your camera has it). Point your camera on the first one, but have the other lines up behind it.

My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.

That would be an awesome silhouette pictor during a sunset :P

Darn digital camera, it makes the image look noisy.

I know, I really hope I can get a decent camera for x-mas, and an even more decent laptop for my birthday (october)...

When I went out to start taking more pictures, they started to tear the old boardwalk down :'(

I think, that if I get up early, I can get a decent picture.

i dont think the camera matters when you scale the picture that small

remember the rule of thirds: the horizon goes either one third of the way down from the top, or one third of the way up from the bottom

It's a nice shot for a digital camera. If it was with DSLR, which in this case not, I would suggest you bump your exposure up, perhaps your f/number too.

Omg, I really want a DSLR.

I'm trying to beg, my uncle (who's a TV personality, you heard of the Wright Stuff? yea that's my uncle) always wants the "best" electronics for me, but rarely follows through, but he convinced me that his camera pwned mine when I visited him last, and I'm trying to get him to buy me one. :)

Thanks guys, and I didn't realize it scaled down so much :x

well, if you were taking that same shot with a DSLR, id recomend a tripod, and turning the f/ up untill your shutter speed is about 1/100th of a second

I like that photo, it's a shame the sky is blown out.

That one, and the "This Way" pictures were the favourite from that trip, I was kinda pissed about the sky, and messed around with the shabby settings on my camera and couldn't get it right, and I took it as I left at like 6am... :(

wow, good improvements all around. these pictures are composed pretty well, youve chosen interesting subject matter, and with the exception of blown out white balences, these all seem like pretty good photos. if your interested in going even further with your photography, you should start saving up cash for a DSLR
