Heya folks! During the summer so far, I've gotten a little bored so I decided to play around with photoshop a bit, and I bring to you my first "Digital painting". It's a watercolour painting of a country house in England! *Salutes* (Oh and please be kind, I haven't used PS in a long time due to exams.)

Tutorial please?

The Tutorial came from Photoshop Creative Issue 50. :)

Dim it down a bit and clean up the colors a tad, hurts the eyes to look at for long.

I appreciate it's a tutorial, but to be quite honest this has the same look of a complete filter pile :/

Really bright and I have no idea what anything is.

That actually looks really good even if it is very grainy. Tone that down a bit and put a bit more order in it and it'll look fantastic. Lots of potential here :P

 

This is a personal preference but I like the bright colors.

My two cents is that it is way too saturated, and the bright colours don't compliment the mood of the image - a country house is sterotyped as a nice and quiet place, but the image seems a loud. Would be nice to see some more detail in the sky too.

 

 

 

Also, it seems quite grainy as opposed to the watercolour paintings i've seen - not sure whether you can help that or not though, i've never tried watercolours with photoshop.

 

 

 

Nice compostion though, i think it would be better with few adjustments.
