Melee-full bandos with furry and slayer mask Magic-arihms or mystic would be fine Ranged-voide range or dhide, if u can afford full arma go for it I'm not sure about the combos either, like if i'm facing a monster that uses magic, but i'm using melee.. So if anyone can help me out here? for combos it depends, if the monster uses magic and your using meele best is to wear full dhide/void range
Jaffy1
Answers underlined. Can someone please list the best armor for the following situations, ie where money wouldnt be a factor and if you can, the "cheaper" versions? Monster you are fighting attacks with.. Melee- Full dragon, fury or glory amulet Magic- Dragonhide armour or full infinity. Ahrim's will also do but it degrades. Ranged- Full dragon as it has high ranged defence bonus. Otherwise Dragonhide armour will suffice. You are attacking with.. Melee- Full dragon, bandos (or other melee barrows, again it degrades), fury/glory. Magic- Full infinity or ahrim's (again, barrows degrades). Ranged- Full set dragonhide or Armadyl armour (best in the game, mind you that it costs around 30m). I'm not sure about the combos either, like if i'm facing a monster that uses magic, but i'm using melee.. So if anyone can help me out here? *Basically when a creature attacks with magic, dragonhide armour (or other ranged armour) is advised, especially when using melee yourself. [bleep]ed vambraces will give an additional strength bonus. The same applies for when using ranged, of course. *If a creature attacks with ranged or melee, and you wish to use melee, your metal armour will suffice. *If a creature attacks with melee and you wish to range/mage it, safe spots are advised, especially when attacking with magic (as magic armour provides low defence against melee). Mind you that when using black d'hide (or better) safe spots are less essencial, bust still useful. I hope that clears it up. Tip.It Website Crew Leader[hide=Quotes]I love it how Jafje comes outa nowhere and answers my questionsHehe now we know what real life does...drugs, drugs, more drugs. ladycai
The armor setups are answered, I'll just leave a comment on the fighting style/defense style. Say you're fighting waterfiends. They attack using ranged and mage. Most people, when they camp waterfiends, wear Karils top and skirt (and optionally, pray range - but this is not necessary if you have a bunyip/stallion/80 or 85+ defense), along with a skillcape/obsidian cape/fire cape (these options, respectively, maximize prayer with adequate defense, provide adequate defense, or maximize strength and attack bonuses), Dragon Boots (although ranger/snakeskin provide magic defense, the strength bonus and the defense bonus for ranged attacks on dragon boots overrides it for many players), a helmet of neitiznot or slayer helmet, for all-around defense and maximizing either prayer/strength or attack/strength, along with the universal barrow gloves, amulet of fury/glory, and an appropriate weapon. Usually when it comes to camping monsters with range or mage attacks, the top armor and leg armor, ofttimes shield, is changed. 95/99 Summoning95/99 Slayer [hide=This is what you look like when you play RS too long][/hide]
Cptbaker08
Can someone please list the best armor for the following situations, ie where money wouldnt be a factor and if you can, the "cheaper" versions? Monster you are fighting attacks with.. Melee- Bandos Chest Plate and Tassets > Torags/Dharoks Plate Body and Legs Magic- Karils Leather Top and Skirt > Black D'hide Body and Chaps Ranged- Bandos Chest Plate and Tassets > Torags/Dharoks Plate Body and Legs You are attacking with.. Melee- Bandos Chest Plate and Tassets > Torags/Dharoks Plate Body and Legs Magic- Ahrims > Mystic Ranged- Armadyl Plate Body and Legs > Full Range Void > Black D'hide Body and Chaps I'm not sure about the combos either, like if i'm facing a monster that uses magic, but i'm using melee.. So if anyone can help me out here? Cases for combos weal the best mage defense for top and legs you can use. Then fill the other spots with attacking boosting gear. Seeing as the only body pieces that increase str is the bandos and that doesnt affect it much. But just wear the best Gloves, Boots, Ring, Amulet, and Cape that you can. And if using a single handed weapon, like a whip, using a Rune Defender would work great as the faster kills will beat out the low magic def.
