No more excuses- Opera is now FREE!

Cool, I just donwloaded it. It's much faster than firefox. Tip.it loads just as fast as a normal webpage :D .

One quick question though. Does Opera have extentions like firefox? If so where do I get them? If they do have them is there an adblock one?

I need the adblock one to block some of the ads on here (sorry about that) because there's one that drops down into a big ad and sometimes freezes and is imposible to close unless you reload the page.

EDIT: problem, everytime i click on a world to load it brings me back to the main runescape page. Any Ideas why it's doing that?

Opera does not have extensions. This is a good thing in a lot of ways, though.

For one, Opera has a ton of features already installed, so, you shouldn't need any extensions. Also, extensions may become uncompatible, so you may end up not being able to use them, or able to use even the browser itself. Extensions can also bloat and slow down the browser.

You can do lots of customizing stuff, though. Google opera wiki and check out it's customization areas.

Firefox must really be hurting their market share. I know a lot of people were put off from Opera because they didnt want to pay to remove the advert banner.

For me though, the advert was never an "excuse" not to use it, I actually have a copy of Opera 8 with no advert banner from when they were giving free codes to people. But i still only use it to test that websites work properly in all main browsers. It has far too many features which I don't need and dont want and has a couple which extensions on Firefox dont cover.

This isnt a discussion on Opera vs Firefox so ill end my post here :P

Some people's needs are better suited to Opera and others to firefox. Don't try and convince me otherwise, ive tried and tested and still don't prefer it.
