1 serious and 2 not so serious slayer questions

Featured Replies

Ok i have a couple questions related to slayer, or more accuratley 2 for slayer and one for a slayer monster. So let's get started.

1.)For all the quests i have to do (Big Chompy Bird Hunting, Zogre Flesh Eaters, Rum Deal, and Cabin Fever) is it worth them to try and kill Cave Horrors to get a Black Mask?

The next two aren't really serious, more of jokes, but still read em :D

2.)Last time i checked, Basilisks are snakes right? Then why do the ones in the slayer cave looks like weird lizards?

3.)Why does every slayer master, when you first talk to them, say "ello, and what are you after then?"

1) It's a rare drop... you'd just be wasting your time

2) >.>

3) They're lonely =P?

Number 3 is because the person who wrote the dialog for the NPC's was lazy...

For #3 it's not so much the fact that they all say it, just why that dialogue?

^ That's why =P There's no deep meaning behind it :/

1. It's worth it to do all of the quests. Cave horrors are fun tasks (for me at least), though the drop rates for Black Masks don't make it necessarily popular.

2. I've always asked that question whenever I see one. :D

3. Slayer masters have a tendency to hate the letter "H" possibly due to a bad exposure to the letter when it was the letter of the day on Sesame Street.

No, it's not really worth it solely for the black masks. If you're up for questing anyways, go ahead and do them with getting to kill them for Slayer as a side effect.

Just a question, what IS the approximate drop rate of a black mask?

I piety the fool.

Only the mythological basilisks are snakes. The real basilisks are, in fact, lizards. And no, before some idiot asks, their gaze can't turn you into a stone. #-o

[hide=Achievements]Quest Cape - 31st October 2009

68,238th to Fletching Cape - 7th February 2010

Champion's tackle box - 26th July 2010

Nomad killed - 4th of November 2010

140,305th to Woodcutting Cape - 12th April 2011

187,690th to Cooking Cape - 6th June 2011

72,234th to Fishing Cape - 7th July 2011

19,010th to Crafting Cape - 8th July 2011[/hide]

I would place their drop rate at about 1:250-1:400, depending on if you remember your ring of wealth or not  . In the time it takes you to do the quests and kill enough to get it as a drop you could just get enough money to buy one, but imo it's worth it to at least do the quests so you cold get them as a task and then maybe get lucky ;) .

I got two (using Ring of Wealth) on a task of 160, so I guess I got pretty lucky. \'
