nerdboyxxx
I have never cut a yew tree down, and don't think I will. They are quite pathetic for experience, mediocre for cash, and although they aren't packed on p2p worlds they are a waste of time. I chop down eucs, they are heaps better and I make around the same cash and more experience than yews :)
Yosonic
If you cut yews by melzar maze, sometimes nobodies there, or its packed. I once got a full inventory of yews from one tree(or 2, i got atleast 22 logs or more from 1 yew tree.) and though i cut yews at a reasonable pace(lv76) i still catch lobsters twice as fast at a lower level. (not because of the ammount of people per tree, thats hardly ever the case for me.) Theres always a yew tree spawned within 5-10 seconds.
polyvoree
What you could do is: -Chop willows to 93 / 95 -Chop yews behind Varrock castle in a pvp world with full rune and 5 lobs/swordies, make sure you have your rune scimmy. -Chop them in edge vill / varrock, normal world. Orrrrrrrrrr. -Get p2p and go Tree gnome village or Camelot / catherby! (My wc lvl is 91, im chopping yews to 92, it's not that slow for me, I do option 2.) GL Wcing / making money ;)
Sir_Kurity
-Chop yews behind Varrock castle in a pvp world with full rune and 5 lobs/swordies, make sure you have your rune scimmy. You have got to be kidding right? That never works, ever theres always someone who attacks you thinking they will hit there max hit 10 times in a row and manage to somehow kill you, when in reality its just a waste of time. O.O
Harakiri
I'm going to agree that your being F2P should answer why there are not as many yews around. And they take forever to chop and everytime I go for one I find myself with fifteen other people who are better at chopping then me.

I got heartily sick of competing with people with 80 or so woodcutting and went to chop the willows southwest of Port Sarim (you know, on the peninsula). Death7178
It's just your bad luck. That's why you only get like 4 logs before the tree gets cut down. Either that or there is a lot of people at 1 tree. #653 to 120 Divination
